The campsite is not too big, which I found very pleasant. All the infrastructure that is important to me when camping is available. That says it all about this wonderful campsite... it was perfect for us, the lake is right next to the campsite, you can swim wonderfully, there is a small grassy beach and shallow entry for children, but also a deeper entry for adults. The site... is beautifully and generously laid out and well maintained, the owners are extremely nice and love children:-) the landscape is wonderful and you can go for walks and hikes with or without children! we would love to come back! We were given friendly instructions and had a spacious pitch with short distances to the sanitary building. The friendly campers were also quick to help us with the walk to the lake, where we could enjoy dinghy or SUP rides. And you could... also enjoy the peace and quiet, as there are plenty of "entry points" into the lake from the campsite.
The small playground with table tennis table also offers good leisure activities for the little ones.
The sanitary facilities were always clean and everything we needed was sufficiently stocked.

You just have to bear in mind that there are hardly any shops that can be reached by bike or on foot.Perfect, there's nothing to complain about!Insel Camping am See is a family-run, rather small campsite. The operators are absolutely friendly and helpful, the whole site is super clean and well-kept, the sanitary facilities are always spotless. The pitches offer both sun and shade from the trees. The site has two access points to the bathing... lake: 1 bathing area with deeper water and the shallow "baby beach". The campsite is located on the outskirts and is therefore pleasantly quiet. The location is a great starting point for hiking and cycling tours in the surrounding area. By car you can reach the Allgäu highlights such as Breitachklamm, Neuschwanstein etc. in less than
1/2 hour.
