However, it is pointed out directly at check-in to secure the bicycles well at the place. large laundry and dishwashing house, Easybee dishwasher, Camperclean American Diner on the site, we liked it, delicious burgers. We had an XXL pitch.Olumsuz yanlarıNot cheap, no water or waste water on site. Sanitary blocks are older, but all in good condition. Some are also being renovated. Bread rolls are from the diner and baked rolls. The nearest bakery 10 minutes by bike, also no witchcraft. We can't report any other negative things, as some other reviews/on the internet say.Perfect for a city conferenceWe will stop here again when we are in Leipzig. The proximity to the city is perfect. The location is ideal for this. The site makes a good impression.
The aircraft noise is annoying, but you have to accept that.
The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was almost an imposition. In principle, we have nothing against used sanitary facilities, but here you can see that they are not cleaned too often and that for the price.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Marion B.June 2023Olumlu yanlarıvery nice people, friendly staff, sanitary facilities showers, toilets nice and clean. quiet campsite with shady spotsOlumsuz yanlarıthere is a lot of wild garlic in the forest at the campsite, the smell takes some getting used to.Camping and Iron Maiden concertwe stayed at the Auensee campsite for a long weekend with a camper van and a VW bus. the main reason for our stay in Leipzig was the Iron Maiden concert on 11.06.2023. the campsite is located just outside Leipzig in a quiet location, with lots of trees and forest. however, a lot of wild garlic grows... in the region, the smell of which takes some getting used to.
Leipzig city center is easy to reach by public transport, bus and streetcar. The bus stop is right in front of the campsite.
the site and the sanitary facilities were very tidy and clean, the toilets and showers are accessible around the clock.
There is an American diner-style restaurant on the campsite, as well as the option of ordering bread rolls for breakfast.
our journey was unfortunately very long due to traffic jams on the highway and we only arrived after the opening time. thanks to a nice phone call, we were able to easily find and move into our pitches late in the evening and we were able to register the next morning. all in all, it was a nice short vacation, camping is fun!Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Andreas S.April 2023Olumlu yanlarıClose to Leipzig. A beautifully designed campsite with very good quality sanitary facilities and cooking areas. I was pleasantly surprised that showering is already included in the price - without brand and time limit. You are allocated a large pitch. I can't say... much about 1 night. Basically I liked the campsite, but the lamps between the rows of pitches were on all night and the light shone into my tent which, together with the occasional aircraft noise (air cargo planes from Leipzig/Halle airport), made it difficult to sleep.

We had a large pitch near the sanitary facilities, so our wishes were fulfilled when we made the reservation! Access to the town is possible close to the pitch, the lake is just a few meters... away. There is a popular burger restaurant on the site, but it is not part of the campsite.

We made a reservation by phone while we were on the road and checked in without any problems. We were welcomed on site by a friendly lady. The pitches are pleasantly large and were perfect for a stopover. The sanitary facilities were clean but could do with a refurbishment. Our little one enjoyed the large playground. It's a lovely natural campsite, nice and quiet and therefore great for children. There is a large playground with a soccer pitch and basque ball baskets. Disposal for motorhomes a joke, small gully embedded in the ground. Good public... transport connection to Leipzig as bus stop in front of the entrance. Auensee accessible by road. Beautiful cycle path to the city center approx. 7 km
The campsite is a bit outdated and exudes the charm of the 80s/90s. Unfortunately you can't buy or eat anything here apart from morning rolls. The lack of wifi... is also not exactly up to date.
The pitches are large enough and well maintained, the wash house is simple but very clean.
Conclusion: Due to its location, it is well suited for a visit to Leipzig, but I wouldn't go on a longer vacation.

No shop or gastronomy, only a bread service with only 2 types of bread to choose from which are not the best quality. The sanitary facilities are outdated (which is not bad in principle) and only partially clean! We stood on an unmown pitch, the good man... with the lawnmower came after we had already settled in. Water taps for fresh water too few available, depending on where you stand you can walk far. Two unkempt barbecue areas and the rental accommodation (wooden huts) gave the impression of being in a GDR vacation camp, but the mobile homes looked great! Positive : Nice staff , pitches for caravans or campers very large . Bus connection directly in front of the square , perfect to get to the city quickly without a car . Conclusion: Price-performance does not fit, too expensive for the condition! Why the place has 4 stars remains a mystery to me.
