Perfect campsite for an overnight stay
Perfect for an overnight stay or two. With a caravan you can get two pitches for an extra 5 euros. All connections are available directly at the site. You have a view of the lake from every pitch. Small site, therefore short distances. The sanitary facilities were clean. Arrival and departure with prior... reservation were absolutely uncomplicated. To Go was offered in the restaurant, which was particularly practical for dog owners, as dogs were not allowed in the restaurant or on the terrace. We can highly recommend the campsite and will certainly be back again.

Lake for swimming
We had a great weekend here
We stayed here from Fri. to Sun. and everything was to our complete satisfaction. Of course there is no supermarket within walking distance but the restaurant at the harbor was very good. Water in the lake was perfect for the kids and everyone had a great weekend.

new place that still has upward potential.
Beautifully situated site directly on the lake with 45 pitches. Registration at the hotel reception. To register you have to go through a barrier where the hotel guests park or to the bus stop. When registering you only get a chip, which is for access to the pitch or sanitary area (like wearing a wristwatch.)... They are not allowed to give out any more because of the available quantity (strangely 8 of 45 places occupied on arrival). At the barrier entrance you sometimes have to stand for up to a minute until the barrier system reacts. Never worked immediately for us. Double pitch covered with plenty of coarse gravel, which means you have to dig underneath or always wear shoes. Toilets all ok, only a curtain in the shower. You have to change in the shower or in the anteroom, which we didn't really like. All in all ok so far but I don't think it's fair that caravans have to pay extra. Thanks to the fact that we had a voucher it was ok for us but in 1st row to the lake for caravan and 2 people almost 250Euro for a week, we personally find it quite hefty. Bread roll service can be ordered at the reception, but I find a bottomless cheek! Double roll 80cents (no bigger than a normal one) Croissant about 4-5cm long (never seen such a small one) 1Euro! Definitely take bicycles with you!!! Lake tour with an excursion boat also possible. Never seen such turquoise colored water in the lake when the sun is shining! Hammer

Ground is littered with sharp stones. Showers only with curtain valuables remain unlocked in front of the shower. Black mold in the shower There are many mice in the square.

Short vacation
A lovely little campsite where you should definitely book in advance. A spontaneous extension is not always possible in the high season, as there are only 45 pitches available and the site is very busy. The staff are very friendly and try to make everything possible. The entire property has only been in existence for 3 years and still has a lot of potential for development.

More appearance than reality
We were there with two caravans with a dog and. Two small children under 3 years old. The place makes a nice impression but unfortunately appearances are deceptive. The staff are actually only responsible for the hotel area, which is probably very lucrative. The sanitary facilities are fine at first... glance, except for the fact that, for example, 4 men's toilets are simply not enough. 4 men's toilets are simply not enough. The fact that the showers have no cubicles with doors is in my opinion the biggest shortcoming. For me as a professional craftsman in interior design, there are massive deficiencies in terms of workmanship and materials used. As a result, it is hardly possible to maintain a proper level of cleanliness. (Simply painted drywall that goes too far into the wet area, discolored and moldy joints in the tile area. When ordering bread rolls, you should limit yourself to the double rolls, all other offers croissant and milk rolls with raisins are already rather outrageous in quality. The pitch size is great water sewage and electricity directly on the plot, but unfortunately only very coarse gravel. The trees are still very light, but this will change in the next few years. Rather unsuitable for small children as there are no shady places where they can play, and the site is accessible to everyone and vice versa for children because of the road. With us it was now also so that the booming music of the somewhat distant beach bar until the night the campsite with their electronic bass-rich and very very very annoying "MUSIC" All in all, it would be better if the campsite operator would also devote more attention to this. Whether he reads this review remains to be seen and will certainly show itself in the near future. If so, we will gladly come back and otherwise we will just say goodbye.

Lake view guaranteed
Quietly located, fairly new site in the rapidly growing Leipzig New Lake District. Managed by the staff of the hotel next door, who don't seem to know much about the occupancy of the site. Statement on our arrival: they would first have to check whether the pitch was already free. And that with about... 15 occupied places. Friendly but clueless. The place itself is clean the bike path around the lake (25 km) very nicely laid out. The vegetation is still sparse but it will grow. You are quickly in the city, also a bus stop is right in front of the place. There is a nice bathing beach on the clean lake, unfortunately some dog owners let their animals run free and bathe here although there are plenty of places to do so a short distance away. The sanitary building is functional and clean, there are no doors at the showers and only two sinks, which is certainly not ideal when fully occupied.

Romantic and beautifully laid out
There were 4 of us with 2 small children for a short trip with a camper van at Störmthaler See and we were delighted with it and the campsite itself. The only disadvantages were that the pitches were made of coarse gravel and that there was no shade anywhere on the site. Otherwise it is a very clean... and well laid out campsite. The sanitary facilities were super clean and well-kept, there was a bread roll service (which is important if you are awake early because of the small children) and a mini playground consisting of a seesaw and two swings. But also in the blazing sun. All in all a great place, just not ideal with very small children. Another disadvantage was the transponder as we know it from swimming pools. Of course, you always didn't have it with you when you wanted to go to the toilets, washrooms etc.

Quiet place with a view over the lake

Fairly new square with sparse tree population
Beautiful place in the middle of the Leipzig New Lake District
We use the site several times a year for a short weekend trip. Super great area, ideal for water sports and cycling. We are very happy with the site, always in the top row - beautiful view and reasonably priced pitches, all with electricity and fresh water.

Camping in 1 row possible only separated from the lake by a footpath
2nd time there and ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and dog owners
we were now for the 2nd time on the Womo harbor, we find it just great the peace was not overcrowded and the area is ideal for dog owners. for a WE trip just right also with the bike you can drive great. we will definitely come back.

Rough prices and "fake" exclusivity
Quiet, clean, great lake view
I spent a week here with my caravan and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The pitches are generously sized for a motorhome site: contrary to the original plans, the former 90 pitches have been reduced to 45. Each pitch has its own electricity and fresh water connection as well as waste water - very practical.... Sanitary building modern and clean, probably a little small when fully occupied with 5 showers and 3 toilets per gender. 2 sinks, one washing machine & dryer each with coin operation, disposal for chemical toilet very practical: Contrary to previous reviews, it is of course not a gray water drain but a kind of septic tank with ground-level inlet and flushing possibility. I found it very convenient because as a woman traveling alone I didn't have to heave the toilet tank up to empty it. A sandy beach right outside the door and a view if the small marina - what more could you want... I found the exclusivity attitude at reception a bit annoying: "You haven't made a reservation? Oh, I'll have to see if we have anything available." And then the maximum occupancy was 22 the whole week, with an average of 12 places occupied. Same game in the restaurant: reservations only / oh, you didn't make a reservation? And then there were barely 10 people sitting there. Prices like in a gourmet restaurant, quality and service average at best. You can also overdo it with the "monetary selection".

Dogs running around freely open showers (no curtains available)
we will be back
The resort is very quiet at the end of the lake, not for party people. Very friendly staff. The only thing we didn't like was that the dog owners let their dogs do their business on the lawn and didn't clean it up.

Easy to reach Leipzig; idyllic lake
Class for stopover
Small campsite belonging to the Lagovida hotel/resort. Registration at the hotel, but no parking for large caravans. There was a double pitch due to low demand, which offers enough space for car and caravan. The size of the pitch is sufficient for a motorhome. Prices decrease with distance to the lake.... Sanitary facilities with changing rooms for men and women and adjoining open individual showers - difficult for teenagers ;-). Overall, everything makes a new impression. Camping classification BVCD/DTV: 3 stars

Lake feeling
Very quietly located pitches with a wonderful view of the lake and the harbor, the area invites you to cycle, paddle, swim or just enjoy. The green areas are unfortunately still very sparsely overgrown and when planning the site, no thought was given to parking facilities for registration or disposal of the chemical toilet! But overall, the site is a clear recommendation. We would love to come again.

Beautiful facility with need for improvement
Beautifully situated motorhome site, where caravans are also tolerated (surcharge of EUR 5/night). The view of Lake Störmthal with the harbor in front, the adjacent hotel and the harbor houses is complemented by peace, birdsong and the cries of seagulls (you feel like you're on the Baltic Sea :-). The... administration building in the motorhome port is not yet occupied, registration takes place at the reception of the Hotel Lagovida. Unfortunately, there is no clearly visible signage here, so new arrivals are best advised to park in the parking bay with the bus stop sign at the traffic circle. A transponder (20 EUR deposit) is required for the entrance barrier and the sanitary building. The sanitary building is new, but somewhat undersized and partially defective. 3 toilets, a few hand basins and 5 showers (without door/curtain, without storage facilities), no individual washing cubicles, lack of flushing facilities, inadequate chemical toilet disposal (via a gray water drain on a pitch) do not exactly indicate the planners' camping experience. The doors of 2 out of 3 toilets were cracked/broken, so that only 1 toilet could be closed with a door. Access to the sanitary building was also possible for at least 2 days without a transponder. It was not possible to rectify the problem as no janitor service was present (Saturday). According to the site plan, the parking spaces should be between 71 and 120 square meters in size, each with a paved section and a green area. But here, too, the reality is different. Weeds grow unhindered on the green part of the pitches, and there is usually no grass to be seen. The crater landscape is therefore not usable or only usable to a limited extent, meaning that only the paved areas are usable. As the paved areas are too small for parking motorhomes/caravans and a seating area, 2 pitches are currently rented out for the price of 1. Note: Pitches S36b and S37b (each shown as 109 m² on the site plan and, according to the above reading, a double pitch) were divided into 3 areas (S36b as a single pitch and S37b / S38b as a double pitch) - which the staff at reception did not even notice. The site has a playground, the communal barbecue area turns out to be just a green area - perhaps seating/barbecue facilities are still being considered here. From the currently unfenced site (possibly planned, 2 fence panels and a gate are already in place), you can cross a footpath/cycle path to get directly to the public beach. Bread rolls can be ordered at reception on arrival for the entire duration of your stay. The reception staff are friendly and mostly helpful. The entire complex does not seem to be finished yet, it remains to be seen whether various improvements will be made. Despite the aforementioned points of criticism, we will return on occasion - the quiet and beautifully situated complex is a good starting point for tours in the Neuseenland and to Leipzig.

I can only agree with the previous speakers: location and surroundings are great, but I assume that the apartments are all the same. Huge disadvantage: From this year onwards, prices will rise and the price will be higher, which means 39 euros/night for a family with two children.

Nice pitch with some weaknesses
You pay the same price for a 5-year-old child as for an adult. I have never experienced this at any other campsite. In the washrooms (they are labeled "changing room" from the outside) there are no hooks for towels or where you can hang your things. There is also no wastepaper basket. The sanitary facilities... are tip-top, but too small. There are only 3 toilets for the size of the pitch. The "best thing": there are only open showers - there are no doors or curtains. There are no individual wash cubicles on such a newly built site. Another major drawback: there are no washing-up facilities or dishwashers. When we asked at the hotel reception, we were told that motorhomes do not need this. You get the impression that no camper insiders were involved in the planning here. You have to look for the chemical toilet, there are no signs. The food on offer in the hotel was poor and too expensive. There are no signs coming from the highway. Otherwise it is a very nicely laid out complex.

Beautiful location with a clear need for improvement on the square
We stayed at the campsite for about a week in August. The site was only newly opened in 2014 and the sanitary facilities etc. are correspondingly new. Basically, however, I see some need for improvement. First of all, the site lacks a suitable disposal station for the chemical toilets. When asked, we... were told that the toilet should simply be emptied into the waste water drain on site. This is extremely unusual, apart from the smell. A room for rinsing the dishes would also be desirable. I also think it is unusual for the pitch fee to be paid in advance. Even though the site appears to specialize in motorhomes, the needs of caravans should also be taken into account. Please make improvements!
