The size is manageable and most of the pitches are right on the water. You rarely get that anywhere else. The showers are very well maintained, which is really important to us. You feel completely at ease, everything is informal. There's no entertainment or anything like that,... which was great for us. Just spending time with the family in nature, playing, swimming, cycling. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered in advance, which is also very practical. There are great excursion options, e.g. with the Mariazell Railway. Cycling, hiking or simply enjoying the bathing pond. We also really enjoyed the bread roll service. The pitches are all right by the lake, which is clean and inviting for a swim. The sanitary facilities are more than super. Electricity, V+E are available. Right next to the site is the Seestadl with very good food. Cycle path directly from the pitch and the Mariazellerbahn over the road. Bread roll service.
Unfortunately very noisy due to the main road passing by. Operators are trying to enforce a speed limit of 70 to reduce the noise. Also loud: three really loud whistles from the train every 30 minutes in front of an unrestricted level crossing. Here, too, the operator is trying to achieve a restriction. The Pielachtal cycle path was easy to cycle on with our 7 year old and a highlight was the ride on the "Himmelstreppe", the Mariazell train. The swimming lake was clean and at a good temperature. The surrounding nature... is very idyllic, just right for us. We deliberately chose a quiet place, possibly without entertainment. The campsite operators are very friendly and... helpful and even spoil you with fresh pastries.
The pitches are very large and we had a great pitch with a sandy beach right by the lake. Our daughter was thrilled!

The natural swimming pond offers plenty of space and opportunities for children to run around. The fishing pond is separate. The shower and sanitary facilities are new and very practical. It is the ideal area for training on the flat or in the mountains, especially for racing cyclists. The campsite is easily accessible and yet quiet.
