- sebi p.August 2012The site is in a quiet location, the supermarket is within walking distance (15 min) and the campsite kiosk is staffed during the Danish summer vacation. Outside of the summer vacation, however, there is no one in charge on the entire site and if you have a problem, you are at a loss if you don't speak... Danish. After the Danish summer vacation, the sanitary facilities were also not cleaned during the week. We could only find 4 toilets on the entire site, some of which were very far away from the individual cabins and pitches. The buildings were relatively old and defects only provisionally patched up. The only two showers (one for men, one for women) that we could find could be seen from the outside. In addition, the hot water did not work in the men's shower. The area is very spacious and separated by hedges, so that you have privacy and are not confronted with other campers around the clock. There is relatively little to discover on the island as a whole, but if you are looking for peace and nature and can live with the fact that the weather changes several times a day, you are in good hands here. About the cabins: We stayed in a category I hut. The hut was generally in very poor condition. Like the rest of the buildings, the structural condition was poor. There were finger-width slits in the doors where the cold and vermin came in at night. That's why there were lots of spiders and other vermin inside. At night, mosquitoes came in through the slits and made it almost impossible to sleep peacefully. At night you could hear noises from the insulation material in the roof, probably caused by mice. There were 4 beds in the hut. 2 of them fixed, 2 made extendable with a self-construction. The mattresses were dirty, stained and some of the covers were very worn. We therefore preferred to sleep on an air mattress on the floor. The existing fridge was noisy and dirty due to its age. You could see mold inside. The smell was correspondingly strong when you opened it. The crockery and cutlery was incomplete and would not have been enough for 4 people, although there was enough in the inventory list. The cottage was not cleaned and the floor and worktop were dirty when we moved in. The staff were friendly at first but just wanted the money up front and didn't explain anything else about the facilities on site or check out procedures. Personal details were not taken and the obligatory camping card was not checked. When we pointed out the shortcomings in the cleanliness, we were treated unfriendly and initially left with our problems. At a second attempt we were brazenly lied to and attempts were made to blame us (we had picked up the key too early) and the shortcomings were played down (about the moldy fridge: you won't die from that). They scolded us as if it was our fault and then at least the fridge was cleaned, which unfortunately was not very thorough and did not help against the smell, and a bed sheet was changed. Conclusion: We won't be visiting the campsite again. Our tip: Don't pay the rent in advance, even if this is a condition for a reservation. Check out the location yourself beforehand, or simply save yourself the ferry costs for the return trip (DKK 525 for 2 adults with car) and look for a better rated site, or take a private vacation home on the island.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
