- Arvid P.Αύγουστος 2019Olumlu yanlarıGood starting point for exploring the island.Olumsuz yanlarıI can't think of anything.Good and centralGood place to explore the island. Portree can be reached on foot if you like, and a washing machine and dryer are available. The sanitary facilities are clean. The site is recommended.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Michael H.Αύγουστος 2017clean simple campsiteOverall quiet, clean, many gravel areas but also grassy areas with very sloping ground.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Anja T.Ιούλιος 2017Olumlu yanlarıwarmer than places up on the mountain, near the pretty town of PortreeGreat view and relatively windless, fair pricesSpent 1 night here with the CamperVan. Prices absolutely fair, I think it was 19 pounds with electrics. Very nice view of the mountainous surroundings. Sheep right next door. We initially wanted to choose another site at the top of the mountain, but fortunately decided on Torvaig, where the climate was... much more pleasant and we were able to enjoy the sun. Unfortunately, it was a bit difficult to go for a walk with a dog, as sheep occupy the fenced pastures and the road is quite busy. But no problem for one night.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Jürg B.Ιούνιος 2017Olumlu yanlarıideal location to explore the Isle of Skye.FAST IN PORTREEThe entrance to the campsite is only visible shortly before the turn-off, entrance and access via a narrow bridge, but also possible for large motorhomes/caravans. Friendly staff, quick and easy check-in, cash only, no credit cards! Free choice of pitches, the paths to the gravel, parceled pitches, all... with electricity and easily accessible, are asphalted. Large meadow for tents, slightly sloping. Two sanit. Buildings in good condition with sufficient facilities, always clean. To Portree approx. 1.5 KM, as many stores, supermarket and fishing port. Ideal location to explore the Isle of Skye. If the weather is fine, a trip to the Quiraing Mountains is worthwhile. A narrow singletrack mountain road with many bends leads over the highlands, branching off in Staffin from road 855 and Idrigil/Uig from road 87. The road is only suitable for cars, too narrow for camper vans and there are no suitable passing places. In Uig ferry port for crossing to Tarbert, it is essential to book the ferry in good time.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Sabine L.Ιούνιος 2016Olumlu yanlarıGood starting point, great panorama, friendly operator, from our point of view very nice atmosphereOlumsuz yanlarıModerate signageWell-visited site near Portree - ideal starting point for hikesAfter driving through the main town on the Isle of Skye, we almost missed the site as there is only a very small sign. A narrow bridge path leads to the site. Registration was straightforward. We paid GBP 20 for 2 people with a caravan. As we arrived in the morning, there was still plenty of space available.... We were able to choose a pitch ourselves and chose a hardstanding pitch in the upper area. The pitches are all slightly sloping. The pitch filled up every evening. There were also lots of campers with motorcycles and tents. The two sanitary blocks were perfectly adequate, simple and functional and were always clean. Free WiFi was available every 24 hours for 20 minutes per device. Beyond that you had to pay. The way to Portree was not far and easy to manage on foot. The site is ideally located for trips to the northern part of the island and for the best walking areas, e.g. Old Man of Storr and Quiraing. Both hikes are a must!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

- Steffen H.Ιούνιος 2015Olumlu yanlarıGood location for exploring the islandCamping near PortreeYou have to keep your eyes open to discover the campsite. The access road leads over a wooden bridge. This can definitely withstand standard motorhomes. The welcome is very simple. The groundsman can be met in his office or on the site. Payment is always made in the morning directly at the pitch. Terraced... pitches are available for camper vans. If you have a tent with you, you should expect a steeper slope. Some of the power sockets are further away from the pitch. In order to be able to walk safely on our pitch and the neighboring pitch, approx. 30m of connecting cable was necessary. The sanitary facilities are simple. They are cleaned daily. The campsite is in a good location for excursions to the north of the island. The town of Portree is a short walk away. The rock formation "The Storr" and the rugged cliffs can be reached by car in a few minutes. You will also find "Kilt Rock" here. An overnight stay costs 20 pounds.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Andreas und Petra S.Ιούνιος 2015A stone's throw behind PortreeWithout a satnav, we would certainly have driven past, the sign for "Camping Torvaig" is so small. This is followed by a wooden bridge that doesn't inspire much confidence. You then reach a medium-sized site with large, unfortunately somewhat uneven grassy areas, which were nevertheless popular with... campers. Gravelled pitches are available for motorhomes. Portree is only 1.4 km away and can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. The "Old Man of Storr" is 7km away. At the beginning of June we paid 20 pounds for a motorhome with 2 people (incl. electricity). Dogs are free, as are the showers. Wifi for a fee by credit card. The first 20 minutes are free, 1 hour = 2 pounds, 1 day = 3 pounds.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Jacqueline R.Σεπτέμβριος 2014Olumlu yanlarıClose to Portree, within walking distance. Very clean and quiet. Friendly owners. Sheep right next to the site.Olumsuz yanlarınonePleasant surpriseWe have been coming to the Isle of Skye with our caravan for years. It was always a matter of luck to get a straight pitch at Trovaig Camping. Sometimes the few were occupied, so we drove on. This year we were extremely pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The site now offers countless new and straight... caravan and motorhome pitches, the time when you had to drive on is definitely over. The sanitary facilities were very clean and they are always cleaned during the day. We will definitely be back.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Werner S.Αύγουστος 2014Olumlu yanlarıThe site is close to the village of Portree and is a good starting point for hikes (Old Man of Storr).Olumsuz yanlarıThe access road is quite narrow for larger motorhomes.Simple and cleanThe site was occupied by many campers. Access roads to the gravelled pitches for motorhomes and caravans are asphalted. At the time of our visit, there were many campers on the site. The sanitary facilities are clean and ok. Gray water, toilet emptying and fresh water intake for motorhomes is possible. The staff are very friendly. The price of 17 GBP for an overnight stay with electricity is also ok.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

- Walter C.Σεπτέμβριος 2010Not an interesting place if it weren't for Portree nearby. Skye and Portree are of course an absolute must. The site is very basic, as are the sanitary facilities, but they are clean and functional. The pitches are very sloping, the camper van can hardly be straightened even with wedges. Tip: Only for overnight stays, otherwise park for free in the large parking lot in Portree.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Günter R.Μάιος 2006I can agree with Christine's comment. The pitch is slightly sloping, but you can compensate for this with wedges. It's only a few minutes to the town and the service is friendly and helpful. It's certainly not a 5* site but it's clean and the location is good for touring the northern area of Skye.
