- Georg S.May 2024ПозитивниFantastic location Super nice staff Very good pizza Places directly on the beachНегативиSanitary outdated and not clean. Stairs to the beach are not usable.A pearl in TropeaThis place is a pearl.
The staff are ultra friendly and helpful, even by Calabrian standards.
The location, right by the sea with a view of Stromboli and Mount Etna, is a dream.
You can see that work is being done here on the urgently needed renovations. But that will take some time. Until then, the... sanitary facilities will take some getting used to.
The access road and the roads are a real adventure. There is only one thing in the area that is more than garbage. These are the potholes. If you're not careful, you'll get a broken axle. The access road to the site is narrow and very steep. I estimate 20%+
I had no problems with my caravan (8.4m). Not even at the hairpin bend at the top.
If you have survived the last 90 minutes after the highway, you are blessed at this place.Автоматично преведено. - Sybille W.August 2017ПозитивниDirectly on the beautiful beach, lots of shade, very, very quiet. Very good bread in the on-site supermarket.НегативиSomewhat remote, overpriced, only 1 sanitary buildingUnderground parking garage feeling with a beautiful beachThe pitch is occupied by many long-term campers and has plenty of shade thanks to the green tarpaulin cover, which is really appreciated in this area in summer. Gives the whole site the flair of an underground parking garage. The beach is fantastically beautiful and was no longer overcrowded around August... 20th. The campsite itself was almost eerily quiet, no entertainment, no noisy people .... rather lots of anglers and Italian families. The bread in the supermarket is the best we've had in 3 weeks in southern Italy. Otherwise, the supermarket's range is rather poor, we didn't go to the bar. The pitch was the most expensive we had during our vacation. It was quite a long walk for us to the only sanitary building.Автоматично преведено.
- Sylvia P.August 2013Southern Italy in August, just before the high season... Means as good as always: inflated prices for what's on offer, overcrowded campsite, towel after towel on the beach, waiting times for showers, and constant noise until around 1am. Due to the economic crisis, the campsite was far from full, so there... was hardly any waiting time at the showers (if you go to the Italian showers acyclically), but the other points apply here. The campsite itself is beautifully situated under Capo Vaticano. The beach is quite narrow and pebbly, so the water is crystal clear. Unfortunately, there have been jellyfish this year since spring, and even now a small jellyfish has strayed onto the beach here and there, contact with an overlooked mini jellyfish is rather unpleasant. Every second lane has steps down to the beach, and as the site is at the end of the beach that leads from the Costa Verde to the Capo, there are no barriers. You can also swim in the sea at night. We got a great corner pitch with our 7m mobile home (we could have had a pitch in the front row, but didn't want to move in there for 3 nights). We simply went down the stairs to go swimming and then returned to the WOMO afterwards. This saved us having to find a place for our towels and parasols. Unfortunately, we didn't look carefully - we were almost right next to the entertainment. And that's because we are absolute morning people and from 10 p.m. onwards we're more likely to stroke. Disco music from 10 am until around 1 pm, then again from around 4 pm until 7 pm, and the evening entertainment from 9:30 pm until 1 am. Just typical southern Italian. If you don't like it, you should stay in the north. Incidentally, the pitches are all shaded with matting roofs. About the sanitary building: Newly renovated, beautiful, super clean. Unfortunately, one whole shower block (out of 2) had problems with the hot water heater during our stay, so it was cold. To avoid wasting too much money, there are shower coins for 50 cents for hot water. The time is unfortunately very short (time limit, not quantity-controlled). It is almost impossible to wash long hair. As the vending machines are outside, reloading is only possible if your partner is standing outside and tossing. Nevertheless, this is pretty much the best sanitary building I have seen in this area so far. I find the restaurant rather expensive for this area, the store is a cheek to say the least (minimal equipment, overpriced - 2 l bottle of water 2 euros - no drinking water in the sanitary building). If you want to go to the supermarket, you need a car - there is one at the top of the main road at the crossroads. So no problem for tent and camper van campers, with a camper van you should have stocked up on food and water for your stay. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is not really right, but the site is certainly one of the best in the area. If you want peace and quiet, you should look for a pitch as far away from the bar as possible, and camper vans should bunker down beforehand. Then you can spend a wonderful beach vacation! Tip: Capo Vaticano - we walked for about 3/4 hours - fantastic view!Автоматично преведено.
