Andrea B.June 2024PozitivnoThe proximity to the beach and the bistro.NegativnoThe campsite itself is very profit-oriented. It has more the flair of a motorhome site. OK for 2 or 3 days. The ladies at reception are monosyllabic and not cooperative if you have pitch requests. The 2 wash houses are only cleaned once and that at peak times between 8.00 am and 9.30 am. With a full occupancy of the place absolutely too little and also far too few showers and washing places.We won't be backThe place is very expensive. Showers cost 1.50 euros for 4 minutes. Even in Spain, where there is a water shortage, you pay nothing for this and the pitches are nicer.
There is a constant wind, very often with strong gusts. There are no windbreaks or hedges. This is common even in Holland.Automatski prevedeno.

The site is designed for motorhomes, is more suitable for wet weather than dry periods and is superbly equipped with gravel/grass pitches. Even with dogs, you can get into the camper van cleanly if you don't step on the grass.NegativnoThe place is very functional, no frills, it is not a campsite to spend the day at the Womo, the area is too beautiful for that. No privacy protection and no shady spots available.Space for active peopleThe sober and clear appearance of the site is in keeping with the site's mission: to provide a good and clean base for all kinds of activities. Sufficient, nice, clean sanitary facilities.NegativnoThe power connections are a bit far away, so be sure to take an extension cable with you.Great location, good sanitary facilities, anytime againWe will definitely be back. Great location just behind the dyke to the beach crossing. You can start wonderful hikes right away, and the cycle path towards Westerhever is right next to the campsite. Only a few meters to the bus stop for the local bus, which is free with the guest card. Excellent small... self-service restaurant "Fish&Chips", bakery and mini-market right next door. Clean, well-designed sanitary facilities with plenty of hooks and storage space. Plus point: paper towel dispensers and squeegees in the washrooms, which the guests also use, so everything is always nice and dry around the washbasins and the floor in the showers doesn't float. Showers cost 1.50 extra - which is absolutely ok. Stove and washing machine, dryer also available for a fee. Microwave even free of charge. Second sanitary building available and therefore you can always find a free shower, toilet ...Automatski prevedeno.

The sanitary facilities are clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.NegativnoWe had to stand on the gravel part of the pitch. It was very noisy when people walked or drove past. These pitches are also very small, so there is hardly any privacy. Finally, the price! We paid €96 for two nights with electricity for two people in June. Dogs are allowed to do anything here, they are tied up in front of the sanitary facilities and jump at you when you enter. This is also encouraged by the staff. We received a great welcome at check-in, were directed to the pitch and taken there.
The clever layout gives you... some privacy and, at least in the rear area, the pitch is very, very quiet. Only the cows are right next to the fence in the morning, but that didn't bother us at all ;-)
The sanitary facilities are super clean and practically as good as new. The children's bathroom for the little ones is furnished with great attention to detail and really well done. The beach is within easy reach and the dog walking area is only a few hundred meters away. Bakery, restaurant with reasonable prices and small store directly in front of the site. Showers with card work great. With one shower per day, electricity up to 5 kWh, water almost on site and sufficient sanitary facilities for 2 people, we paid €41 per night. The welcome was warm and problem-free. A tiny little playground with climbing tower completely inadequate for children.
Not a tree, no hedges .... a shame

It went smoothly and without any problems. The reception was exemplary and the site is clean, but you're not rushed. But the technician/pitch worker is nice.
With our Womo 7.5 m it is already narrow but solvable.
You can be at the beach in 5 minutes and by bike in 10 minutes in "Bad" - the bear is raging there ... in other words lots... of restaurants and delicious food.
Of course - as everywhere on the North Sea great tours by bike possible.

- Muschel S.June 2019PozitivnoLocation,location,locationNegativnoSmall pitches, too few and distant sanitary buildings, cooking and washing-up area outdated and calcified, no wifi, gravel floor.Very good location, the place itself is average at best and very expensive.The site is located directly at the beach access, which is the big advantage. A new barrier system makes it difficult for caravans to enter and leave, as there are large garbage containers in the entrance area. There are comparatively high additional costs on top of the basic prices: 4 minutes shower... costs a remarkable €1.50, a dog is charged at €5.00 per night. Electricity costs a whopping €4.00 per night. Cars must be parked on the campsite and are charged at 5.00 per night. There is also a visitor's tax. For 2 people with 2 dogs and a caravan, that's around €53 per night in high season. The pitches are very small and, thanks to the cars, you feel more like you're on vacation in a parking lot. The site is completely shade-free, the pitches are gravelled and have small grass areas. The gravel must be very difficult to negotiate for people with wheelchairs/walkers or other aids. The sanitary buildings are undersized and very far away for at least half of the guests. The newly introduced card system for the showers is relatively complicated and expensive (as already mentioned). The advertised wifi does not actually exist, but this would also require a router in the middle of the bare pitch. The small supermarket at the entrance is well stocked, and the self-service bistro serves very tasty fish dishes at local prices. The opening hours of the reception and supermarket in the HS are very short, closing punctually at 18:00. The campsite benefits from its location and it is obvious that the operators are rewarding this by charging for many extra services. Overall, this campsite is a better parking lot with undersized sanitary blocks (which are only cleaned once a day even when fully occupied) and a lack of water taps. For a comparable price, other campsites offer much moreAutomatski prevedeno.
