Very attentively managed place, absolutely recommendable
Located directly on the lake, this site is rarely full in the high season. There is practically always a pitch on the shore. Wonderful view over the lake. Easy to navigate even with large caravans. Not parceled out. Very friendly and helpful operators, relaxed, personal and obliging. Very good, new sanitary... facilities. Showers combined with toilets, family- and wheelchair-friendly. Always clean. Showers with card. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with all, really all utensils: dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, glasses... You can host a whole family celebration. Plus a pleasant ambience. The industrial dishwasher, which conjures up clean dishes in no more than three minutes, is top of the range. Idyllic fireplaces, firewood is provided by the operator. The nearby road hardly disturbs the peace and quiet. You can go hiking in the fells directly opposite the campsite. Fishing and canoeing, in summer also swimming, are possible at the site. Supermarket about 2 km away in the village, reachable on a good cycle path. Thank you, we would love to come back!

Clean, tidy, quite quiet in the evening. Convenient for traffic. Motorcyclists are also welcome. Mattress in my cabin was ok.

W-Lan, if it works, is grotty lame. No longer up to date...
Actually quite ok...
...but my hut made an ambivalent impression for 500,-NOK. Kitchenette / fridge in the bedroom ??? Well, I put up with it. Sanitary top. Very new, clean and well maintained. Otherwise, much of the site is under construction/reconstruction. 3 new large rental houses have been built, but something could... also be done to the smaller huts. These are certainly a bit "aged". Otherwise the wifi is a disaster. At first there was always no connection possible and on the second day, after various configurations to my software, access was possible but very poor. Simply no longer up to date. The whole thing was explained by the boss, with a certain arrogance, as follows: "Well, that's just the way it is..." Aldi webstick also only works to a limited extent (dead zone?)

Beautifully situated on the lake. Beautiful grounds. Quiet on the edge of the village. A large number of rental cabins.

Beautifully situated and well-kept site, directly on the lake. The site is on the edge of the village in the immediate vicinity of the churches, Øye has 2 churches. A modern stone building and a rebuilt stave church. There is another stave church nearby, in Hörre. Very friendly welcome. Shopping facilities available nearby. A large number of rental cabins also make the site attractive for cyclists and motorcyclists.

In June 2014 we visited this beautiful and well-kept place. The very friendly manager was always on hand with up-to-date information. German was also spoken. The pitches were dry and level. We went on beautiful hikes in the mountains. The toll roads into the mountains are suitable for cyclists who are... not put off by the climbs. Road no. 51 is highly recommended (lots of snow in June). Cross-country skiing was still practiced up here at 1389m. The site is on the E16 but is very quiet at night. The road is not disturbing even during the day. Fishing for trout was possible but without success in June.
