Beautiful place
Very nice campsite for the whole family. We were there at Whitsun and were surprised how quiet it was on this long weekend. The Paltz was full even the large meadow was full but you didn't notice that the sanitary facilities were always clean and the staff were always friendly.

There was a lot on offer there was a flea market on the Paltz and there was also a festival.

I was a bit skeptical and biased when I read the comments here...however, I have to say that this place is great for a quiet and secluded vacation even with children. We were here over Easter this year and I can't complain about the cleanliness or anything. Overall a nice and quiet place in the middle of nowhere ;)

The children's entertainment can still be improved a little, the homepage promises a little more than it is on site. It may be due to the time of year.
Nice quiet place
Overall beautiful and well suited for anglers, the water is incredibly clear, thumbs up. The site is definitely busy with 75% permanent campers, but they are all incredibly hospitable and nice.

Price-performance ratio, Not an absolute hipster place, so not overcrowded and the camper clientele is more like you know it from before Corona, i.e. it's not about who has the biggest and most expensive camper and shouts the loudest, it's rather cozy. I can say that a lot of effort is made.

Clearly the rabbit plague, everything is undermined! There is still a lot of work to be done in many areas, but things are moving forward. Bread roll prices, the quality is okay for baked rolls, but the price is steep.
A beautiful place with potential, but there is still a long way to go.
We spent our first summer vacation here with our 3 children (we are usually early or late season campers) and were very impressed with the price-performance ratio. The reception area has been redesigned and is very inviting. We had the most expensive pitch with a private bathroom that we could book and... paid just under €500 plus electricity for a good week in the peak season.
In return, we had a great pitch at the end of a permanent campers' settlement right on the water with its own bathroom and all connections, which was really great! However, it also felt a bit isolated from the rest of the campers. The site is huge and offers lots of things to do. You can see that a lot is being done to make the site attractive, BUT there is still a long way to go! Sometimes it's the little things that could be done without a lot of effort and would immediately brighten up the picture.
We can't say anything about the sanitary facilities in general, our private bathroom was still quite new and therefore okay with toilet, shower, washbasin and covered outdoor sink, but I suspect that due to the cheap construction, it won't stay that way for long.
There were lots of great activities for the children, from entertainment to the many playgrounds and the inexpensive rental facilities to the swimming lake. I won't rate the location, I know that when I go there and the site operator has no influence on it, but I would like to mention it, the site is geographically convenient for exploring the area between Cuxhaven and Bremen, but also somewhere in the middle of nowhere, which means that you actually always need your car to go shopping and you have to rely on the site's own store to get fresh bread rolls. That's okay.
On the other hand, we liked the restaurant, great nice service and the prices were reasonable.

Promises a lot and delivers little
We are here in August 23 and are not happy about our choice of pitch. According to the homepage it is supposed to be 120 square meters, but it is only 100 square meters including private sanitary facilities. We only managed to get the caravan onto the pitch in a very cramped position as there is still... a supply shaft at the edge. The water connection was only usable for us after three times complaining. In some places there are old car tires in the green and other plastic waste. All in all, we cannot recommend the place. Too bad that this summer vacation turned out this way this time.

The lake is beautiful. Lots on offer for children. New wash house top. The old one is just old. (Showers have been renewed). Offers (parties/events) for adults are great.

It is a pity that the restaurant is open very differently but there is no current information about it. It's a shame that some guests can't behave when it comes to cleanliness in the sanitary facilities. It is always cleaned, but the consideration and cleanliness of the people is decreasing more and more. The campsite does everything possible to counteract this. Thank you for that.

Family camping with everything you need*****
A family-run campsite with attention to detail. Awakened from a deep slumber, every effort is made here to conjure up a dream vacation for all family members. Whether it's the lake, the children's entertainment, theme parties, a free-range area for the dog or a good home-style restaurant. Nothing is... missing and there is always something new. 1 wash house has been completely renovated, the second is under construction and on its way to becoming an oasis of well-being.

Some of the sanitary facilities are old but very clean, and some have been nicely renovated, but the shower cubicles have no doors... There is no restaurant. The bistro offers bratwurst and French fries, unfortunately at different opening times. Unfortunately only 2 sanitary buildings. A bit small for the size of the site.
Very nice family campsite with its own lake
The price-performance ratio is not quite right for this place. However, a lot is visibly being renovated, converted and rebuilt here.
So we will certainly be back soon.

Please note that registration closes at 12:30 pm.
So those arriving before the lunch break will have to hurry...

However, we were... lucky that we received a friendly telephone briefing about our pitch when we arrived at 12:39.

Despite the many dogs on the site, it was very quiet.
There are plenty of places for dogs to run around in the immediate vicinity. There is a very nice little wooded area about 1 km away, which is ideal for hiking with dogs. (Our 5 dogs liked it very much)

Super feel-good campsite
We 4 adults and the children aged 9 and 13 immediately felt at home here. The campsite is very well maintained and everyone is very friendly. We will definitely be back!

There is no small shopping facility. What is very much to be criticized...no mail arrives. Despite the correct address, our mail from home did not arrive. Unfortunately it was important mail that got lost. Quite normal according to reception ?!? So don't have any mail forwarded !!!!

Great family place with a certain charm
The site has a great location around a beautiful lake. Despite the many permanent campers and dogs, you also feel comfortable as a dog-free travel camper. This was our second time here and we had a great week.
great week. Although partying is not really our thing, we found the corona-compliant beach... party with music ordered via WhatsApp, barbecue and cocktail bar by mini train a great thing. We'll definitely be back again! Very clean and quiet despite lots of dogs. The sanitary building in the north is very modern and beautiful, the west is rather old. But both were clean!

10 relaxing days
We spent 10 relaxing days on the campsite. Impressive was the
extremely friendly reception at check-in. Everything we needed to know about the site was explained to us and the route to the pitch was shown on the map. The sanitary building is first class. Despite the good occupancy of the pitch at the weekend, it was never too crowded. ( Corona )
The price-performance ratio is fine. Shower and electricity are included. We felt very comfortable.

We were there with three children aged 9 and 13 and we all loved it! The site is very clean, the staff and all the other campers are super friendly and the best thing is...., at 11pm the ice cream van comes by with delicious flavors! We virtually inaugurated the shower house, brand new and there is also an older one, but we didn't look at it, the lake with a small beach section is just super nice, we'll be back soon😍!

Shopping facilities on site would be great if you forget butter or milk and if the restaurant is renovated one day, you won't want to go home again😊!

We'll be back, simply beautiful! I've rated most of the advantages beautifully! We felt completely at ease!
The wash houses comply with the Corona regulations without any problems! I also think it's great that there are no shower tokens, you can shower as long as you need and you can also set the temperature yourself, which I found very negative elsewhere!

The staff are more than friendly. We were warmly welcomed when we checked in and everything was explained to us very well. The site is beautifully situated and very well maintained. The water in the lake is wonderful. There is something for everyone. Whether boats or stand-up boards... mini golf or chilling out on a lounger by the lake. Bread rolls are available in the morning, which can be ordered in advance. The sanitary facilities are more than clean and very modern. A super campsite. A great destination, which we will be visiting again soon. Keep up the good work!

This beautiful campsite is highly recommended. A great lake... beautiful pitches and an absolutely friendly team. Modern showers....clean and well-kept toilets. Ample leisure facilities do the rest! Super!

quite okay - lots of room for improvement
The campsite is okay. The new sanitary building is good, but too small for the high season. The store could expand its range, especially as the nearest supermarket is further away.
The playgrounds are not suitable for small children as some of them are broken and unsafe. Baby swings and play equipment for small children are missing. All in all, a few things should be removed.
The site certainly has potential, but falls short of its potential.

Old wash house i.d.d.Jahre come (collective changing room), entrance at the barrier not handicapped accessible due to high curbs, dog run does not go at all by sawn-off tree trunks - many brambles with thorns - risk of injury much too high, smelly garbage containers in front of the reception, bread roll pick-up associated with a long wait, as these must be paid at the reception, where is also checked in. Shopping facilities 6 km away, football pitch crooked and bent - risk of injury!!! Place should generally be a bit better maintained

A place for families. Great swimming lake. All in all it could look better maintained. Would still come back for a weekend.

Bathing lake with clean sandy beach

Really recommended
We wanted to stay for 2 days, but ended up staying 4. We found everything we could wish for on a campsite: very friendly staff, new sanitary facilities, a fantastic sandy beach and a beautiful swimming lake. We also recommend the restaurant, where we ordered our evening meal via WhatsApp. And the ice cream van was a lovely surprise!
Thank you very much for the lovely weekend and we will definitely be back!

Beautifully situated place
We were here over Christmas and New Year's Eve. The New Year's Eve party and the brunch on New Year's Day were excellent. Everyone had plenty to eat and drink. There was also a playground for the children in a corner of the tent. The new wash house is well done and clean. However, the old wash house... needs to be renovated. As the campsite is on a lake, you should have a vehicle because the nearest bus stop is a long way away and very difficult to reach on foot. This also needs to be worked on. We can recommend the place with a clear conscience. Especially parents with children are in good hands here.

Was here with my adult children there it seemed to us as the left does not know what the right hand does by phone was only one place still free but on arrival was 1 other place suddenly free at the new wash house also on this 28.12.209 was the entire place where we stood with 4-6 others occupied therefore... very questionable. the old wash house is no longer possible can only be demolished or renovated. New unfortunately much too small capacities would not know if the place is fully booked many at the old wash house go the long way to the new wash house.the tone of the owners or employees is also not the finest you should think about it.the guest is the one who brings the money.But apparently you are not dependent on it because there are unfortunately still customers who are on it. Furthermore, cats have fool freedom dogs please leash the dog meadow a joke on the mountain with thorns peppered once and never again so unfortunately no more. and drive with car only 7 Km-h otherwise threatens expulsion ....... are the tough every city flashes from 10 plus about 4km so about 14km-h. Have fun there who goes there.
