That's about it.Negativ- too few water points - very noisy road, next to the campsite - Huge vacation camp with lots of children - old and unkempt shower and sanitary blocks (nothing has been done for ages) - You have to walk forever to the beachYou can't enjoy your vacation here.First of all, we have been coming to this campsite for 10 years. But it has gotten worse and worse.
Nothing is being renovated or changed here. One water point for 30 campers is not possible. Huge youth camps that make noise late into the night!
Poor sanitary blocks, old and unkempt. It's a long way to the beach. The road next to the campsite makes you feel like you're on the highway. Really never again here.Automatisk oversat.

The entrance area is spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The site has large and very small pitches. The wash houses are large and clean. The beach is beautiful, but about 20 minutes away on foot. However,... there is a bike rental service and a shuttle bus. There is a pool for cooling off in between. During the day, the road running past the campsite is a bit annoying, but at night it is reasonably quiet. There is a mini market, a small bazaar, a snack bar and a restaurant. The campsite is also a good starting point for excursions to Carrara, Lucca and Pisa.Automatisk oversat.

The road can be heard all night. The mosquitoes were not bothered by autan or citronella. Our dog had a problem walking until he was allowed to relieve himself for the first time, the path to the dog beach through the... forest resembles a garbage dump, sometimes a mud hole. The garbage dump continues on the beach, the stench was bestial. The shuttle didn't run for us, the car to the clean beach costs parking fees, the beach costs extra. We left after 2 nights. Those arriving by motorhome or caravan should also follow the signs (through Viareggio). The division of the campsite into permanent campers and day guests makes the paths to reception, the playground and the pool a little long. However, the perfect German at reception,... the free Wi-Fi, the free well-maintained pool and the free shuttle to the beach more than make up for this. - Thomas H.September 2014PositiveClose to beautiful beach, supply, shady places, central location, good bus connections to Pisa and LuccaNegativLoud at night, mosquito infestation, small plotsAverage, international CPContrary to other comments on this site, the campsite is easy to find using GPS coordinates and is clearly signposted. The beautiful beach with dunes can be reached on foot (approx. 25 min.) or by (rental) bike (approx. 10 min.). I can confirm the mosquito plague, which was still annoying even in September.... The bus company is now called Vai-Bus and it now costs 3 euros one-way to Pisa and Lucca. The bus stop is about a 25-minute walk from the campsite and not easy to find. In keeping with its name, the campsite is mainly visited by international guests. It is divided into two areas of roughly equal size. One area is occupied without exception by Italian permanent campers, the other area is available to tourists. The pitches here are quite small and partly shaded. There are plenty of water points and electricity connections available. Wi-Fi is readily available, but at 1 euro per hour is no longer up to date and too expensive. The sanitary area is "typically Italian", the only really annoying thing for us was that there are no separate washbasin areas for men and women and that the flushing water is only lukewarm. According to the sign, it should be warmer between 1 - 3 pm and 9 - 11 pm, but who wants to wash up at these inconvenient times? In September there were different school classes from Germany on the site every day, which led to disturbances at night. The busy main road directly behind the tourist area is also noisy and you can actually hear it almost all night long. We will not be staying here again, particularly because of the high level of noise at night.Automatisk oversat.

Clean bathrooms, in-house restaurant fantastic in both price and quality, shady pitches of different sizes, a bit noisy when there are music nights nearby and due to the high number of very young people. Too extended hours for vehicles inside... which poses a danger to young children and makes the pitches near the passage dusty. Somewhat poor animation especially for the youngest as there is no real baby dance with dedicated music and choreography. The playground is nice and big but it would need more cleaning and some maintenance. However, it is a place I would recommend because it is shady and has a great atmosphere.Automatisk oversat.
Jürgen Ö.May 2013We were there for 10 days as a couple with a dog, as the rain drove us away from Lake Garda, 16€ Campcard. The campsite itself is not so easy to find, the navigation system didn't know the road and the signposting is poor, there are plenty of campsite signs, but the names are missing, so if you want... to go to a particular campsite, you're quickly faced with the wrong one. The campsite is situated between two roads right next to a boggy wooded area which is right next to the beach. It's not far to the beach, it's about 2km over the road, through the forest, I don't know, the path was impassable due to rain, flooded. Almost ideal for campers with dogs, as you are quickly in the forest area and can easily walk the dog there, or go for a bike ride. A small well-stocked store, a nice bar and a restaurant (which we didn't try) are located quite centrally on the site. Shopping facilities (Penny) are located in Viareggio. Trips to Luca or Pisa ideal 15-20km. What was very negative for us were the many mosquitoes, you were literally attacked on arrival at the pitch. We tried not to walk through the grass because we thought that would scare the mosquitoes away. During our stay, they handed out notices saying that a mosquito spraying truck would be driving around the site in the evening, which we thought would be wonderful and put an end to the mosquitoes. But we didn't think so, it turned out later that it only sprayed products against the larvae, i.e. the next generation, which didn't help us either. In the evening from 22:00 it became bearable in front of the caravan, but for breakfast we had to fight off the pickers again. Showers are not free, we received 2 shower tokens per day, so get ready quickly otherwise the water turns off, it is also not adjustable in temperature.
