- Franz S.August 2024PositiveLocationNegativThe location is great, the customer service not at all. Another negative thing I noticed was that this is probably a dog camp, 50 percent of the visitors had dogs with them, which is nice, but doesn't make the barking any more pleasant, especially in the quiet hours. There is only one garbage station, to which you have to walk across the whole campsite, which I was told was probably due to a vermin problem. We booked for a week and indicated that we might leave a day early, which we didn't do. The result was that we were expelled from the site and did not get our money back. The reception manager commented that she didn't care. It's a shame, the location is nice, but it needs more than that.So check carefully to see if you can't find something betterThe location is great, the customer service not at all.

- Rainer W.August 2023PositiveOn the lake, great restaurant, 2 great pools + children's pool. Very nice large pitches with WC, bathroom, sink on the pitch. Very nice mobile homes. New sanitary facilities, good supermarket.NegativnoneGreat campsiteWe stayed at this campsite in August 2023 and were able to enjoy a luxury pitch. Simply perfect. The site is very tidy overall, everything is clean, great sanitary facilities, 2 pools. The campsite felt completely full, despite temperatures of 35 degrees, the pools were not overcrowded. Free sun loungers... were available even at these temperatures. Great separate dog area by the pool with sun loungers and parasols. The many small washing-up stations in almost every area of the campsite are very pleasant. This is very relaxing. This also means very short distances. No waiting times for washing up. The supermarket is well stocked and has everything you need on the campsite. Prices are ok. The water dispenser for drinking water is very convenient. 20 cents/liter. Great idea, no waste of plastic bottles!
Separate exits for dog walks. Highly recommended for dog owners. Also separate dog beach on the lake.
The restaurant is great. Great location on the lake, and everything is very tasty. Prices are absolutely reasonable, even more reasonable. Reservations are recommended for the evening.
There are 2 beaches at the campsite, both are very natural and relatively narrow. However, this is due to the location. Bathing shoes are recommended.
Conclusion: Absolute TOP place - full 5 stars. You have to be very critical here to find any disadvantages.Automatisk oversat. - Darinka B.June 2023PositiveGreat campsite for dog owners. Own dog beach where dogs are allowed in the water all day. There is even a separate area by the pool where you can take your dog. Very nice pitches, some of which are wonderfully shady. The sanitary facilities are up to date and very clean. There is even a dishwasher that you can use free of charge. The on-site restaurant has a wonderful view of the lake. However, it is advisable to make a reservation as it is quite full in the evening.NegativThe on-site store is sometimes quite expensive. However, you can find everything you need.Great campsite for dog ownersA great campsite all round. We will definitely be back. However, you need either bicycles, a car or, like us, our Vespa to see the surrounding towns.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael J.May 2023PositiveVery well equipped and clean site. Dogs welcome. Dog beach and run. Heated and unheated pool. Good restaurant.NegativSome pitches too small. Especially the first and second row by the lake. Access to these pitches too narrow. Damage to the caravan is inevitable! Showers hot, cold, hot, cold... Sauna costs extra.Great place, uncomfortable beachGreat campsite which, like so many others, is increasingly being equipped for mobile homes and dormitories. So small pitches, lots of chalets.
Nothing for beach vacationers as it is very uncomfortable. The access is also a stumbling block.
You just have to like Lake Garda and its surroundings. It's not... ours.
We were on pitch 602 (2nd row on the lake). Access is too narrow; pitch too small and full of ants. These had then also conquered our caravan.
Wellness facilities cost extra. Two hours sauna 30€!Automatisk oversat. - Wolfgang M.May 2023PositiveThe sanitary facilities, restaurant, organization and helpfulness of all the staff are hard to beat.NegativVery muddy pitches. (Must be sculpted to suit the weather)Friendliness, luxury but muddy pitchesAn absolute top spot. Unfortunately, the drainage doesn't seem to work optimally. That needs to be improved. Everything else can't be improved.Automatisk oversat.
- Alexander S.September 2022PositiveComing to Fornella is like coming home. The campsite is perfectly run and the family style has a very positive effect on all the staff. We come back again and again. This year we stayed at the campsite for a total of 7 weeks.NegativThe check-in time for the mobile homes is very late. If you want to drive to Lake Garda very early to avoid the eternal traffic jams and therefore arrive earlier, you have a small problem. Our second home at the 5-star Camping FornellaWe love Fornella, really the only 5-star campsite on the west side of Lake Garda.
The friendly service, the family care, the environmentally friendly measures, the cleanliness of the site, the beautiful supermarket, the amenities for campers such as mobile terraces and pitches with private bathrooms,... the wellness building and the pool with tempered water from the first day of opening make Fornella an unforgettable vacation spot for us.
We come back again and again.Automatisk oversat. - Ralf K.September 2022PositiveLocation in the countryside, very well-kept and clean complex, good infrastructureNegativnonewonderful campsiteWe were there twice this year, with caravans, on a sunny pitch. Everything is very well looked after, and if something doesn't work, it is actually remedied in minutes. Due to the green location directly on the lake also very suitable with a dog, but there are also many dogs on the site. We thought the... restaurant was fine, the pizza was really good and the price/performance ratio was good. The mini-market is not necessarily cheap, but it's nice to have a shopping opportunity right on the campsite.Automatisk oversat.

- Stephanie H.June 2022PositiveWe particularly liked our beautiful pitch surrounded by oleanders, a magnificent plane tree with a view of a beautiful bee meadow. Fornella also offers everything your heart desires. There was nothing we were missing. Thank you very much for this great stay.NegativThere is nothing that disturbed or displeased us!A wonderful family vacation!Fornella is a beautiful campsite in a great location. We spent our family vacation here and are still raving about the site.
The sanitary facilities are always! cleaned and well-maintained at all times, which I think is very commendable.
Despite the countless dogs on the campsite, we never saw any... droppings or felt inconvenienced in any way.
The pool area is great, especially for smaller children. Our daughter (3) was very enthusiastic. There are plenty of sun loungers despite the campsite being full.
I would like to praise the entertainment team. So much commitment is rare. I would particularly like to mention Francesca, who can inspire every child with her loving and captivating manner.
We loved the wide range of products on offer in the store at absolutely reasonable prices. There really is everything to buy! There is also the opportunity to buy filtered water in front of the store, which we think is wonderful!
We will be spending our vacation in Fornella again next year and will choose an even longer period!Automatisk oversat. - Anita H.May 2022PositiveVery nice large pitches, separated by olive trees. New, comfortable showers. Excellent restaurant with good food and wines.NegativListed as 'no dogs'. Not true, we were a couple without dogs. Most were on the site with, untrained, barking etc, dogs.DogsNot suitable for people who do not love dogs or are afraid of dogs.Automatisk oversat.

- Lutz E.September 2021PositiveCleanliness Direct sea access Well-kept grounds Dog area Great surroundingsNegativThe large pool was already closed.Beautifully maintained campsiteThe good feeling of having booked the right campsite for our September vacation this year already started with the booking. We managed to get hold of one of the lakeside pitches and were not disappointed in any way. Only the access road to this site is a little narrow. The site is very well maintained... and despite the large number of dogs, we didn't see any dog poo during the 10 days, either on the site or on the dog beach.
This is certainly also due to the fact that there are many dog stations on the site. The campsite has its own dog area on the opposite side, so that the dogs have the opportunity to run around off the lead. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and are cleaned several times a day. The entire green areas are beautifully laid out. There is a well-stocked campsite and a very nicely located restaurant on the campsite which was very good in terms of price and taste. You can walk to San Felice or Portese in 30-40 minutes. You can also get to Manerba or Salo in the same time by bike. Sirmione or Verona are also absolutely worth seeing and can be reached in 90 minutes by car. For us and our dog, the 10-day stay at the campsite was a dream. We have rarely experienced a better-run campsite in our 18 years at the campsite. Of course, it has to be said that without a dog it could be quite stressful for guests. But we really enjoyed it and will certainly be back.Automatisk oversat. - Ralf K.September 2021Positivein the countryside, cleanliness, friendlinessNegativnone found - we will be backQuiet and well-kept place surrounded by greeneryVery clean, well-kept facility, friendly staff, also great for dog owners like us. - Guido Q.August 2021Positivevery clean, and helpful, perfect with the motorboatNegativis a bit far away from small towns, but okFamily vacation with family and dogAll good, have been there 4 times and will go again, with family and motorboat just perfect.Automatisk oversat.
- Fox M.June 2021PositiveDog friendlyNegativNo information at reception on arrival, supermarket small and expensive.Quietly located and dog-friendly campsiteThe campsite is very dog-friendly and dogs are very welcome here and are allowed to swim in Lake Garda.
Unfortunately, on arrival we were not given any real information about the location of the campsite, the opening times of the supermarket and restaurants. We were also not informed that a chip was... required to open the doors to the dog area, which we then had to ask for again (costs a 5 euro deposit).
We had a great pitch in the 700 number area. It's a bit remote here (but close to the dog meadow and the dog beach). Almost all the pitches have no real shade and are therefore exposed to the sun all day, which heats up the caravan extremely. Air conditioning is a great advantage here. A mover also makes it easier to set up the caravan here. The small lower wash house at the end of the 700 pitches is very small (1 room with 2 toilets - one for women and one for men; and a room with 3 showers - also not separated. The wash house in the 160 area is better equipped here. The wash house is clean and there is disinfectant spray everywhere (also in every toilet). The supermarket is quite well laid out and has higher prices (sometimes extremely high). The opening hours are not continuous, but there is also a longer lunch break until 4pm. The restaurant only opens at 12:30 pm and also offers a delivery service directly to the pitch. The terrace is quite cramped, but offers a great view of Lake Garda. The menu is varied.
The pitch is a little out of the way and access from the road is quite narrow. Salò is about 10-15 minutes away and Sirmione about 45-60 minutes by car.
Conclusion: A quiet campsite with lots of dogs and swimming opportunities in the lake for dogs too. The staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions.Automatisk oversat. - Daniela M.June 2021PositiveFriendliness, helpfulness when booking rental cars and restaurant, quiet place, clean, great location, just arrive and feel goodNegativNoneWell-being and luxury every yearAs I said, we come to the womo pitches twice a year and it's like coming home. - Helmut H.September 2020PositiveThe super pitches are simply great, top sanitary facilities, right on the lake, dog beachNegativI can't think of anythingVery nice, quiet place directly on the lakeOverall a very nice campsite, which in our opinion has nothing to complain about. The ladies at reception are very friendly and almost all of them speak very good German. Everything is explained very well when you check in. We had a super pitch and it was really great, with electricity, water and waste... water on site. There are trees and bushes to mark the boundaries and provide shade, so you have a certain amount of privacy. The only downside is sometimes annoying mosquitoes. The sanitary facilities are spacious with individual washrooms and showers with plenty of shelves. They are cleaned at least 3 times a day, even in the off-season. The store is also nicely furnished and has everything you need. Bread rolls are available without pre-ordering. The restaurant is also very nice, especially the terrace with a view of the lake is fantastic. We also found the food very good. There are 2 beaches directly on the campsite, one dog-free and one dog beach. The place is rather quiet without animation and action.Automatisk oversat.
- Carsten W.July 2020Positivefor boatersNegativBehavior of the receptionNever again due to misconduct of the receptionArrival at 22:00 with motorhome and boat trailer. As the far too small motorhome port was full of cars, we had to check in and pay just under €130 for the night. Although it had been agreed that we could stand in front of the barrier.
We left because of the long walk to the beach and the catastrophic... descent to the dog beach (children break their bones here). We had to pay for the complete reservation of the pitch for another 10 nights even though the pitch was only 50% full. After a later visit, I discovered that our pitch had been rented out again, so unfortunately we were being charged twice.
The super pitches are huge, even for our big boat with trailer (19 mtr)
We are a big camper clique, this place will not see us again. The Nautic Center is very professional, we can only praise it. There was only one toilet for men and women together in the super area, which would be far too few at full capacity. The large sanitary facilities were too far away for us. The price was extremely high (just under €130) + buoy for 2 adults, 3 children and 1 dog.
The operator should please replace the steps to the dog beach from my reservation costs, thank you very muchAutomatisk oversat.Besvaret fra Fornella Camping & Wellness Family Resort October 18, 2020Hello and thank you for your review.
We have a few places available in front of the reception for arrivals who come after 11 pm and are not allowed to drive onto the campsite because of the night's rest. Unfortunately only a small number.
We had already planned to redo the stairs at the back in winter....
For reservations, it is also stated on our homepage under the booking conditions that in the event of late arrival or early departure for pre-booked pitches, the total amount must be paid for the duration of the booked period. Actually, people would also have to pay, but we only charged for the pitch.
Regarding the sanitary facilities, we have several blocks spread around the campsite.
With kind regards

Wonderfully situated directly on the lake, next to olive groves, ideal for a vacation with the dog, suuuuper pizza, lots of peace and quiet, nice fellow campers. Mobile homes from simple/normal to luxurious, just as... you wish. What's more, the staff were absolutely friendly and courteous, from reception to the cleaning crew to the workmen. We would love to come back - of course with our dog, who is very welcome here!Automatisk oversat.
