"A treasure among the mountains of Abruzzo! - A beautiful terrace overlooking the blue Lake Barrea. The campsite is essential, and there is everything you need to fully enjoy nature and the landscape. Impeccable are the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and the magnificent presence of a unique and irreplaceable character: Pasetta. A man who lives for his land and devotes his life to protecting it. From him you can learn love for nature and creation! An expert mountain guide, he showed us nature trails that are breathtaking in their beauty! A moving experience to say the least, that of meeting the thousand-year-old beech tree Methuselah! Thank you Pasetta for sharing your treasures with us! We will be back soon!

" - They accept small animals, but not children all to ensure the tranquility (theirs) and peace of those few campers stationed there! Very steep prices for a facility that offers nothing!

" - Beautiful place above the lake and village of Barrea. The owner is the unique Abruzzo "Pasetta". Still quite expensive for the low season, otherwise OK. Panini's about 500m further down in the village. Good starting point for hikes and excursions in the Abruzzo National Park. Pasetta has lots of tips for hikes etc.

He took part of the European longest trekking: "Camminaitalia" both in 1995 and in 1999, being named as : "poet laureate" A guide book wrote by the owner Pasetta, a fifty years mountain experienced man, will be available to the camperers. The book is giving complete information on the local mountains and a guide-line for a good vacation in the National Park of Abruzzi and all Abruzzi. In the camping-site you can find a reception, a bar, a small market, ad a common room. In the town of Barrea, is a 300 mt. walking distance.
