"Beautiful castle campsite for those seeking peace and quiet - The campsite is professionally managed with a lot of love for nature, many products from the region are offered, small restaurant with a nice terrace offers a delicious menu (moderate prices) The campsite is very well maintained and especially in times of Covid19 the management does everything to make the vacationers feel safe, the sanitary facilities are super well maintained, many excursion possibilities, management gives tips, nature lovers get their money's worth here, in the high season 34 euros for pitch (2 persons with electricity) for the service that is provided quite cheap.

"one of the best places in France ! - This site is a member of the Castel-Camping chain - these sites are the best in France anyway and within the chain "Poinsouze" ranks right at the top! The site is extremely well maintained, the pitches are huge, the nature and the small lake are calming and very relaxing, the sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, the reception and daily care are exemplary -- they take great care of their guests and as a guest you simply feel at home.

"Idyllic whets the appetite for more - For us, this place was a stopover on the journey home. The planned one night turned into two. I have never been able to discover a place like this in Germany. Simple yet sophisticated and very relaxing. The knights must have stopped at a place like this in the Middle Ages. We couldn't try the restaurant, but the menu and drinks list were inviting (as were the prices). Instead, there was a mini market with delicacies and good wines. We found the staff and owners to be very courteous and friendly! Conclusion: Not only price and performance in balance.

"Not bad - We (2 adults + 2 children) were there as a stopover for two days in July. Basically a very nice CP with beautiful pitches. The sanitary facilities are also great. The operators are a bit particular. I would consider it an exaggeration to accuse them of being unfriendly, but their manner has a charm of its own that perhaps not everyone can cope with. The playground on site has seen better days. Incidentally, with the exception of the sanitary block, this was our general impression of the site. Overall: a decent site with a reasonable price-performance ratio.

"Stay July/August 2014 - Nice, but somewhat remote campsite. We stayed there for 2 weeks. A very friendly and personal welcome at reception on arrival. An employee then showed us the pitch, which was equipped with electricity, water, waste water and toilet disposal and offered plenty of space. The staff were always friendly. Sanitary facilities and the pitch itself were mostly very clean. The restaurant with friendly service was not open every day, but offered us good value for money. The pool was usually too busy to be able to swim properly. The ban on swimming in the lake was only pointed out in the booking confirmation. However, surfing and boating were allowed. Cycling is not a pleasure due to the hilly landscape and the narrow, fast-moving country roads.

Le Château de Poinsouze campsite, part of the Les Castels chain, is a comfortable campsite near Boussac-Bourg. The campsite is located on an estate with a castle and a small lake. Far from the motorways, this is an ideal place …to relax. In high season, this campsite is an excellent choice for families with children. You can choose from pitches with varying degrees of comfort, but you are guaranteed a spacious and well-kept pitch. The pitches are separated from each other by hedges, trees and plants. The campsite also offers rental accommodation, including wooden chalets, fully equipped mobile homes and gypsy caravans. Le Château de Poinsouze campsite is a great place to have fun in the water park. It consists of a beautiful overflow pool, a water slide and a playful water playground. Children can also enjoy themselves with the three activities that the entertainment team organises every day during the high season. The focus is on sports, games and creativity. At the campsite restaurant, you can enjoy traditional dishes made with fresh local produce. The restaurant offers various menus and matching wines. Please note that the restaurant is not open every evening, but take-out meals are always available. There is also a bar with a terrace by the pool and a small supermarket. The lake plays an important role at this campsite. You can rent a canoe, a sailing boat or a pedal boat at the campsite to take a trip across the lake with the whole family. This is another opportunity to visit the castle.
