- Josef P.June 2022AdvantagesGood location for stopovers or excursions to Bosnia or the coast.NegativesThe trees are still too small to provide shade.A beautiful placeVery nice and lovingly laid out place, unfortunately with too little shade. Super clean facilities with at least shaded seating.Automatically translated.
- Robert P.May 2020AdvantagesSmall, not crowded, equipped with kitchen, washing area, garden, electricity and water available around campsite, WiFi freeNegativesEverything was really goodAmazingThis small hidden campsite was a quite surprise for my wife and me. Great spot to stay especially in spring and autumn because of the sunny pitches. Their garden where we picked our vegetables is organic which is important for us. Had day trips to Imotski, Mostar and Dubrovnik. Very very clean facilities and they don't charge dogs
- petmart p.May 2019AdvantagesRestWonderful camping!Lovely campsite (15 pitches, clean and nice sanitary facilities), away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Yet you can enjoy the beach and the sea within 15 minutes. The campsite is a great base for Makarska, Mostar, Split, Dubrovnik and the Biokovo nature reserve. The owners and Luna are super hospitable and friendly! We really felt welcome and will definitely come back!Automatically translated.

- MALIN E.June 2018Advantageslocation, cleanness, owners,This is what camping was and should be likeWe stayed in Biokovo camp 3 times. First on our way to Albania, than on our way from Albania and then we came back from Plitvic lakes to Biokovo again and stayed for 5 more days. 1) owners are so normal and down to earth people willing to talk about the area and give suggestions where to go and what... to see 2) location is not noisy, but you can hear the cars (we are used to ignore noise like that, so we didn’t find the site to be noisy at all) 3) everything perfectly clean, bathrooms and toilets cleaned few times a day 4) their garden just outside of the camp is amazing. During our stay we picked fresh (fresh!!!) directly from the ground vegetables (Swiss chart, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers …) for our lunch 5) we the location to be perfect for us, first as a stop over and then as our base to explore areas around and its close to the ferry port to islands Brac and Havar. We will definitely go back to camp Biokovo.
- Klaus Z.May 2018AdvantagesClose to the highway, good wifi, clean sanitary facilitiesNegativestoo expensive, very remoteSmall, clean, remote and expensiveWe stayed at Autocamp Biokovo at the beginning of May. The operators are really very nice and helpful. But at night there was only one temporary worker. I chose the site because of its proximity to the highway and the good reviews. The campsite is very remote, about 2 km uphill to the village where there... is a small supermarket and a bakery. There is nothing to buy at the campsite. It is a small campsite for approx. 15 - 20 motorhomes or caravans with a rough gravel base. There are no pitches in the shade. The sanitary building is very clean, but a bit small if there are several campers. In the small sanitary building there is a sitting toilet for the men, whereby the door opens inwards and you have to climb over the toilet to be able to close the door. Then there are 2 urinals, 2 washbasins and 2 showers. Outside at the back there are 2 sinks for dishes and 2 sinks for laundry, but without hot water. We only had warm or hot water in the shower. So far we were satisfied, but we had to pay 48 euros for two nights. In the high season, a pitch in the open air costs 30 euros. After we showed the senior manager in the ASCI booklet our next destination, a 4-star pitch right by the sea for 15 euros a night, he insisted and gave us 10 euros back, as he only wants satisfied guests.Automatically translated.
- SLAVIJA S.August 2017AdvantagesThe owners are super nice, they do make you feel really free and welcomed. Away from the crowded coastal area Great location for day tripsNegativesThey need to wait for trees to growVery simple, excellent place and peopleOn first look it’s nothing special, but soon you realize it’s all you need if not more. It’s a very small campground; equipped with basics - sanitary facilities, small reception where they have fridge, fax machine, computer and yes they have Wi-Fi connection. We were there with tents, so I must say shade... is not so good, but we managed to find a spot we liked. The trees are quite small, but the flowers are beautiful. Location is really good, but it’s close to the highway so to those who have light sleep this could be a problem (my husband always has earplugs with him, so he slept really well).
- Merjen S.July 2017AdvantagesLocation, kindness, cleanness,Amazing location to explore Croatia! Stay here!!!This is a small campground in Dalmatian hills, surrounded by Biokovo Mountain and beautiful nature. I loved every moment we spend there, everything is really clean and everywhere around the camp you can see how much hard work they have put in making sure it’s authentic and peaceful. Sanitary facilities... are unbelievable clean with great and strong shower. They olso offer Wi -Fi, washing machine and a place with tables and chairs for all guests to use. Owners take a really good care of everyone coming to their “house” and they offer homemade rakja and wine. What really trilled me is their organic garden for guest to use just outside of camp. This is how campground should be like. Thank you for the amazing stay.
- Viktoria H.August 2016Advantages- great hosts - beautiful, quiet location - small, very clean, familiar place - close to the highwayNegatives- Proximity to the highway - Trees are still too small to provide shadeGreat place with fantastic hostsI would like to start by particularly emphasizing the warm, courteous and lovely host family. We were well looked after right from the start, regularly received bags full of delicious home-grown vegetables, were allowed to try home-made ham, wine and schnapps (so delicious!) and spent a lovely afternoon... and evening together. Our laundry was taken away (free of charge) and returned the next day cleanly washed, dried and ironed. We've never had such great and friendly service on a campsite before. The site is beautifully laid out and still very new. The showers and toilets were brand new and spotlessly clean at all times. The campsite was planned and planted with great attention to detail, flowers are blooming everywhere, the trees are currently still a little too small to provide shade, but nature will do its bit in the coming years. The location is ideal for exploring Croatia's beautiful hinterland and offers great views of the beautiful mountains. The sea can also be reached in 20 minutes. From the highway it is only a few minutes to the campsite - this is the only small drawback. From one side of the campsite you can see the highway and hear it a little (not disturbing). We chose the other side and had a wonderful view. Thank you very much for the lovely three nights, we will definitely come back again if we are ever on the road in this area.Automatically translated.
- Alina J.August 2016Great campsite to stay!We thought about staying just over night at the camp but after the check in with Dragan (fantastic owner/host/"tour guide"), one schnaps and herb liquor for each of us, we decided to stay longer. The whole place is unbelievably clean and decorated with flowers everywhere. Dragan and his wife take care... for everything and both are so pleasant and funny. And they have a cute little baby-dog. It`s a perfect place for hiking (in biokovo national park) and you are not far away from the seaside (but without the crazy tourist horde). Absolute recommandation!Automatically translated.
- Maria H.June 2016AdvantagesGreat location for exploring the area ( 1,5 hour to Mostar; 2h to Dubrovnik,. 45 min to Split; 1:40 min to National Park Krka...Negatives...Wonderful Experience in this small camping siteThis is THE cleanest, most well run camp site I have ever stayed at. It is gorgeous, perched on a hill overlooking the Karst landscape. So quiet, you can hear the cicadas and birds. We were welcomed to the campsite by the host who kindly offered us incredible homemade walnut liquor and his own smoked... bacon [WOW]. The campsite is a 10 minute drive to the beach which to us was a plus since we were away from the intense crowds in Split/Markaska. The campsite is within walking distance to the atmospheric village of Zagvozd, which has two cafes and a wonderful restaurant [konoba miro] where we had a delicious lamb dish. Communication: Excellent. Very responsive via email. ... so peaceful.
- Nada B.September 2015AdvantagesExcellent facilities, cleanness, great atmosphere, lovely owners, their organic productsNegativesNeed more trees and more traffic signsNewly opened amazing placeWe decided to hike in Biokovo Mountain, but didn’t want to spend loads of money on accommodation in coastal area so we thought we will look for accommodation on northern side of Biokovo Mountain, close to Imotski. We were really surprised when we discovered that there is a camping ground in a Zagvozd,... just few km from Imotski. Contacted owner and I must say she was so welcoming and knowable, gave lot of great tips so instead of staying one night there, we stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed. Everything is new and clean, 2 toilets for man and for woman, showers, books to swap. Option for coffee, breakfast, area for everybody to use with tables, washing place,. Plus they have planted so many beautiful flowers there that you just want to drink your coffee the morning and look at it.
