"Inexpensive space - The campsite is about 2.5 kilometers from Beddgelert. The village is easy to reach via a beautiful hiking trail. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day and are in good condition. The only disadvantage is that the caravan is parked under tall, dense trees, which makes the site very shady and damp. However, the pitch was reasonably priced at 18 euros per night for a gravel pitch with electricity.

" - Very nice place in the middle of the national park. Friendly staff, great sanitary facilities. Fresh bread rolls and baguettes can be ordered for breakfast. Small drawback, small unpleasant "mosquitoes".

" - Idyllically situated, predominantly wooded nature campsite in the middle of the Snowdonia N. Park. Very good hiking and mountain bike tour possibilities directly from the site. Mostly parceled out, rustic pitches with electricity. For railroad fans I recommend the top end of the site - historic steam trains pass directly by the site several times a day (only from approx. 8:00 to approx. 21:00) Large extra tent meadows. Very nice and helpful managers, reception stocked with the most necessary food and camping supplies. Simple shopping facilities within walking distance in Beddgelert. Discounter about 10 KM. Sanis in partly quite rustic condition but were cleaned daily. Overall, we found it very cozy there, we felt very comfortable despite the sometimes "bad" weather.

Beddgelert campsite is the perfect location if you're looking for a tranquil, relaxing camping experience. Set within a conifer and broadleaf forest, Beddgelert campsite offers you a place to get away from it all, take in the local surroundings and …get closer to nature. Set within Snowdonia National Park and just a few minutes from the pretty Welsh village that shares its name, Beddgelert is an idyllic riverside location, surrounded by snow-capped mountains in an area of Wales that is steeped in legend. Choosing a suitable pitch Up to 6 people can be booked into each pitch, if you wish to have dogs stay with you during your break, up to 4 can be booked in per pitch. 59 hard-standing pitches are available with electric hook up (included in price). Vehicles including trailer tents and camper vans must be booked onto a hard-standing pitch and must fit within the dimensions of your chosen pitch. Our hard-standing pitches are located near to the facilities block, if you prefer, tents can book onto these pitches but will require rock pegs. 26 grass camping pitches are available for tents only. Our grass camping pitches are situated by the picturesque river, Afon Colwyn. However, young families should note that during periods of rainfall the river has fast-flowing water. There is a short walk between the camping field and our facilities block. Facilities at Beddgelert campsite We have separate male and female wash room facilities, both comprising of 6 sinks, 4 showers, and 4 toilets. You'll find complimentary hand soap at basins plus hair and body wash in all shower cubicles. Baby changing facilities can be found in both the male and female shower rooms. We offer two pot washing sinks with complimentary washing up liquid as well as a laundry room with a coin-operated washing machine and dryer. There's also a sink for hand washing too. A chemical disposal point is located at the facilities block. Free standing water points are situated around both the hard-standing and grass camping fields. The Forest Retreat In the heart of our Beddgelert campsite location is our Forest Retreat. Within it you'll find our reception where you'll check in, you'll also find a great selection of local produce, gifts and basic holiday essentials. We offer a great range of takeaway hot drinks, cakes and sweets! Drop by and say hello to our friendly location team who will help you make the most of your stay, providing insight of the local area, plus tips for the best places to visit nearby. They can also help to book your activities. Dog-friendly campsite We are a dog friendly location and allow up to 4 dogs to be booked for an additional charge per pitch. Drop by reception to pick up a complimentary tasty treat before setting off for a walk through some of Snowdonia's great trails and walking routes. If those paws get a bit muddy, then drop by the camping facilities block and use our outdoor dog wash station with fresh warm water. Dogs are not permitted in our camping facilities block or The Bakehouse (guide dogs are permitted), we have placed dog lead tie points outside for your convenience. Catch the train at our train station for a scenic journey on the Welsh Highland Railway, for a small charge dogs can ride too. Snowdonia National Park is abundant with wildlife. It's not uncommon to find squirrels, sheep, goats and rabbits wandering around (including on our location!), please ensure your dogs remain on leads when walking around location and take additional caution when walking off-location. Meillionen train station One of the most wonderful aspects of Beddgelert Campsite is that it's one of the stops for the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway. A unique way to see the Snowdonia scenery, with a day ticket you have unlimited access to hop off and back on again at various points along the track. The Meillionen stop at Beddgelert campsite is a short walk from your pitch and we recommend dedicating some time to taking this journey back in time. Timetables are available at the station or from reception. Take a trip to Caernarfon or venture to Porthmadog through the Aberglaslyn Pass.
