"Oasis - In the middle of the biosphere reserve, pure nature! Ideal for cyclists. Pitches directly on the Elbe, sensational. Boat rental on site. Friendly service on site. Been there many times with the Womo. Simple but clean sanitary facilities. Supermarket within cycling distance. The local bakery is also open on Sundays. An absolute recommendation!

"Practicality given - The location is directly on the Elbe. There is no store on the site. Only some camping supplies at the registration. The sanitary facilities are housed in containers, which were always clean in the morning. There are 2 showers and 2 toilets each. The campsite is occupied by permanent campers in the front and rear sections right by the water. There is space for tourists in between and on the opposite side of the path. You can stop here for 1 or 2 nights. As there are no shopping facilities, you can't get fresh bread rolls in the morning. The peace and quiet at the weekend is sensational, during the week you can hear the neighboring industrial estate. Price-performance should be reconsidered.

"Campsite with development potential - We stayed at the site for one night in July 2018 and were very impressed by its location right on the Elbe. It is located at the harbor of the small town of Aken and we only found it by chance - the signage could be better. In addition to the campsite, there is also a boat rental service. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are housed in containers and are no longer the best - they could do with a makeover. The site also has a bar - you shouldn't necessarily stand next to it - it was noisy for quite a long time. We couldn't get fresh bread rolls on Sunday, not even in the village.
