Voel je welkom op camping Botniahiem! Op slechts 5 minuten fietsen van de historische Elfstedenstad Dokkum vind je camping Botniahiem. Onze kleinschalige camping bevindt zich midden in het groen, maar tegelijkertijd ook middenin het dorp Damwâld met al haar voorzieningen, …zoals een overdekt winkelcentrum op loop- en fietsafstand. Ontdek prachtig Friesland. Onze camping is dé perfecte uitvalsbasis voor iedereen die Friesland wil ontdekken. Er zijn verschillende wandel- en fietsroutes die hier in de buurt starten en ook via het wandel- en fietsknooppuntennetwerk kun je vanuit Damwâld prachtige tochten maken. Bezoek ook de waddeneilanden Ameland en Schiermonnikoog. Ook het Nationaal park Lauwersmeer is dichtbij! Ook als je met kinderen naar Damwâld komt is er in de omgeving genoeg te doen en te beleven. Op de camping bieden we geen uitgebreid recreatieprogramma, maar toch is er een heleboel te doen. Zo is er een dierenweide, een speeltuintje voor de kinderen, kunnen kinderen spelen met skelters, traptrekkers en trampoline, dieren aaien, bramen plukken en nog veel meer! Nieuw in 2023: sanitair! Zie foto's. Gastvrijheid staat bij ons hoog in het vaandel. Dat is een kernwaarde die we overal terug willen laten komen. Als gast moet je je welkom bij ons voelen en daar zullen wij dan ook alles aan doen om voor te zorgen. Laat het ons ook gerust weten als je ergens behoefte aan hebt, dan kunnen wij kijken wat we voor jou kunnen betekenen. De camping is open van 1 april t/m 31 oktober. Kom je ook bij ons kamperen, camperen of overnachten in een stacaravan, glamping tent, appartement of vakantiewoning? Botniahiem ligt in het Noord-Oosten van Frieslan in het Lauwersmeer gebied (Nationaal Park). Wij wonen in het dorp Damwâld, dit ligt plm. 4 km beneden Dokkum. Goed bereikbaar met zowel auto, als openbaar vervoer. Ook een prima onderbreking voor een …overnachting in de B&B als u op fiets of wandeltocht of te paard bent. Damwâld is een prettig dorp met goede voorzieningen in een rustige bomenrijke omgeving. Veel cultuur en natuur zijn de kenmerken van Botniahiem wat gehuisvesd is op de landerijen van de voormalige State Botnia.
