"Quite okay, but... - The campsite is about 1.5 hours by motorhome from Rome, directly on the Mediterranean. There is nothing around except a few farmers' fields and the nearest town is about 15 km away. The staff are friendly, but hardly speak any English, let alone German. This may have been due to the fact that we were there in July, the time when the Italian children are all on vacation and the whole family (grandma, grandpa, parents and children) are on vacation. As a result, more than half of the site is occupied by permanent or long-term campers who have literally set up a tent site: Every single caravan with an awning and pavilions and a kitchen or toilet tent in front of it. This made us feel a bit like intruders with our motorhome. We also had the feeling that apart from us, there were no other German vacationers visiting this campsite or we didn't meet any. The entertainment was therefore exclusively in Italian. There is a small supermarket on the campsite where you can get all the essentials, a restaurant, a bar and a wellness oasis (although we didn't try it out). The campsite is located directly on the sandy beach and can be reached quickly and easily on foot. However, you have to pay an extra €21.00 per day for 2 sun loungers with umbrellas. We just paid double that for our camper van incl. 3 people... So it wasn't worth it for us. The sun loungers were free at the pool, but swimming caps are compulsory. However, there were no parasols at all. This is intentional on the part of the CP, as guests should leave the pool area at lunchtime and not block the sunbeds with their towels. We think there are better solutions to achieve this. The entire pool area is extremely uncomfortable and the lifeguards with their whistles added to the discomfort, as they whistled at anyone or anything that did not behave properly. This also included the fact that guests were not allowed to enter the "island" in the middle of the pool. Anyone who didn't have their swimming cap on immediately was whistled at until the cap was on their head... This was extremely annoying, especially as the person who was meant didn't feel addressed at all... The sanitary facilities are very simple and basic. There are 3 French toilet cubicles in each of the toilet blocks and one with a bowl without a seat and lid. There is NO toilet paper and no soap or even hand dryers. The showers consist of adjacent shower cubicles that you enter from the outside. You should therefore not take a change of clothes with you, as there is nowhere to put them. There is 1 hook in the shower where you can just hang your towel. The sanitary facilities are cleaned daily, but we never had the impression that it was really clean, as dirt (pine needles, leaves and sand) was repeatedly carried into the toilets and showers as well as into the pool by the guests. However, as there is no way of wiping away your own dirt (squeegee or scrubbing brush), you unfortunately have to put up with it. All in all, okay, but somehow not really comfortable. We won't be visiting this campsite again.
