"Forgotten - Well, for those who like organic pooping in a wooden hut. Otherwise, motorhome pitch far away, much too expensive - for the money there are places directly on the Rhine (and nearby) where you can stay for two to two and a half days. Rip-off with the electricity flat rate, but I can cook, wash and heat cheaper at home. So all in all, FORGOTTEN

"Idyllic campsite on the Rur - We spent this weekend at the very idyllic campsite on the Rur. We were able to choose a pitch on arrival. The bread roll service is conveniently available online. The site has a small café. We ate very tasty cakes. There are numerous hiking trails and cycle paths in the immediate vicinity. Clean sanitary facilities are available. There is also a small kitchen with microwave, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, oven, plenty of crockery, washing machine, ironing board and iron,... All pitches have electricity and some have a water supply. Dogs are allowed on some pitches. The entire site is lovingly designed. Many permanent campers have found their little paradise here. A sauna and hot tub are available for relaxation. The Wi-Fi is free and stable. The operators are very friendly and courteous. We did not find the €1 coin-operated showers so appealing. There are no shopping facilities nearby. Overall, we felt very comfortable and will be back.

"Stopover on the Rur - We drove to the campsite because of its proximity to Monschau. The arrival is via serpentines, but was no problem with our camper van. Even at the end of the season, you pay in advance (€33 per night) and have to leave the site at 11am. The site is located in a valley directly on the Rur. Most of the tourist pitches are also there with electricity, no waste water and a central water tap. The showers cost €1 for 6 minutes. The sanitary facilities were very clean and tidy, the lighting could be better. The pitches for Womos were currently without electricity at our time and the sanitary facilities there were already closed. We used the stay to explore Monschau by bike and enjoy the peace and quiet without social media on the campsite.

"Motorhome site - Beautifully situated, quiet, very suitable for hiking and cycling tours. We enjoyed using it every year. Unfortunately, from 2024 the flat rate for motorhome pitches in front of the Rurbrücke bridge of 17 EUR was abolished and a price increase of 145%!!! to 41.70 EUR (2 adults, motorhome over 7.0 m, electricity flat rate 5.90 EUR mandatory) was implemented. A great pity, but unfortunately no longer acceptable to us.

"You can have a good time here... - Had a really nice place right on the Rur. The peace and quiet is heavenly. As the campsite is in a valley, the sun doesn't mean well in the fall. Come late and leave early, and there are lots of big trees that provide plenty of shade. Certainly great in summer... The sanitary facilities are top notch, everyone is very friendly. We can't say anything about the snack bar. The surrounding area is beautiful, but quickly explored. We would have liked to continue, but unfortunately we had already paid in advance and there's no refund if you leave early. So we held out. Unfortunately that cost us the 5th star.

"Beautifully situated family campsite in the Eifel - The campsite is family-run. The operators and staff are very friendly and helpful. Attention, pun intended: The pitches for tourists on the banks of the Rur are awesome! :-) The sanitary facilities were always clean and well maintained. The rushing of the river and the area invite you to hike and relax. In the evening we went to the snack bar, which is also recommended despite the small menu and self-service. We can recommend this place for couples and families without reservation!
