"A successful stay - If you want to go on lots of excursions, this is the place for you. There are nice little towns just a few kilometers away. Nova Goriza is only about 6 km away. In this town alone - together with the Italian town of Görtz - there are many interesting places to visit. The owner couple is very nice. Big praise to Martina, who was always available with good tips for excursions. You can tell that she is really passionate about running this campsite. I've rarely received so many tips about the area around a campsite as I did here. I really liked the restaurant. The food here was always freshly prepared. The food used was really high quality. The steak was a dream. However, anyone who thinks that they can spend a cheap vacation in Slovenia is wrong. Many of the prices are on a par with those in Germany - sometimes even higher. I didn't find the road annoying. For me, it was an absolutely successful stay. I will certainly come back to this campsite.

"Absolute failure - We arrived full of anticipation to go paragliding and left right after the first night. We had rented a bungalow, but unfortunately it was totally moldy and dirty. The furniture was broken and dirty. We had only had good experiences with bungalows in other countries. However, this was not a bungalow, but an 18 square meter mobile home, for which the price was very disappointing. The bathroom, kitchen and air conditioning were totally moldy, dirty and it smelled very musty. The bungalow costs 66 euros per night (for 2 people), which in hindsight is totally exaggerated. In addition, there is no regulated cancellation policy and on arrival you find out that there is an additional charge per day for the advertised WiFi if you don't want to sit in the small reception area all the time.

"Relaxed vacation - Nice small CP with everything you need. Clean, tidy and friendly. I didn't see anything of the alleged construction site, certainly you can't expect the level of a 5 star site at a 2 star site

"Nice little campsite with very friendly operators - Unfortunately, I was only passing through the campsite for one night. What you notice on arrival is the brand new reception building. The restaurant is also located here. Very modern, very stylish, but somehow this contrast fits. As I found out later, the campsite operator was sitting at reception. I was welcomed very quickly and in a very friendly manner. The pitch is not particularly large, so you can find your way around very quickly on your own. You only recognize the sanitary building as such when you are standing in it. The outside is still unplastered, but the inside was clean and tidy. I then had dinner in the small restaurant. Very tasty and very reasonably priced. The night was then disturbed by a few arriving hikers who set up four tents right next to me, but they were also given a place in the middle of the night. Not too bad. I was aware of the nearby road, but it wasn't too disturbing. In the morning, as the only guest, I was very quickly served a delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced breakfast. The owner then refilled my water bottles during a little chat. I particularly remember the very friendly owner couple. The wifi was not good, which was already gone a few meters from the reception. However, as usual in Slovenia, the 4G network is very good.

"Quiet place but half construction site - The square looks more like a building site. Everything has been started. Not finished. Entrance to the sanitary facilities extremely accident-prone.

"Very friendly, good cuisine, super breakfast - Beautifully situated in the Vipava Valley, ideal for biking and paragliding. Very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent.

Campsite Lijak is located near Nova Gorica in the village of Ozeljan – in the sunny Vipava Valley, surrounded by vineyards. We are just below the rim of the Trnovska plateau, between the Slovenian Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea. There are lots of activities and things to do close to Campsite Lijak: We are an ideal base for hiking and biking tours to the beautiful Trnovska Plateau, for day-trips to the vineyards or the seaside, to the mountains along the Soča Valley, or for train trips to Bohinj, Bled and of course, Venice. We have plenty of space for 250 guests. There are 60 camping pitches, ranging in size from 80 to 100m². Every pitch has electric hookup, water point, sewage facilities and Wifi internet access. The Mediterranean climate and ideal weather conditions mean you can do paragliding from Lijak the whole year round.
