"Beautiful location by the sea, very friendly ladies at the reception - I would like to fully agree with the previous speaker, herbert-53763! We had exactly the same experience. Only the "entertainment value" at night until 4am was exhausting. For 2 days. Then it was over. You were young once!

"Nice, quiet pre-season - We (2 adults 1 toddler) were there in the first week of May and therefore still in the low season. The arrival was very friendly and the nice lady at reception also spoke German. Originally we wanted to go to CP Florenz right next door, but they weren't taking anyone. Fully booked! A week-long party for Polish students, which you could hear until four in the morning throughout the week. But it was fine. They were on vacation ;-) It seems that it's mainly Italian permanent campers who are staying on the campsite. Overall, however, the CP was still very empty. The few guests who were here were all very friendly and nice. We visited the restaurant on site three times. Very good food each time. The supermarket is small, but stocked with everything you need. The sanitary facilities were below average. For example, there were 5 standing toilets for the men and only 1 "normal" toilet. Everywhere (ladies and gentlemen) no toilet paper and no soap available. Unfortunately, the cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. Also in the showers. Overall, everything was pretty worn out. The pitches are okay. Only the 3 ampere fuse is far too little. Just enough for the fridge. The beach was great. Almost deserted :-) And it goes in shallow. Ideal for children. Water shoes recommended - there are crabs that can pinch. There are five very nice, albeit windy, pitches on a raised area. Here you have a great view over the beach and the sea. Porta Garibaldi and Comacchio are very easy to reach by bike. All in all, we would come here again, as the site is fine and the people here are very nice.

" - A campsite for families or to spend a relaxing time, in a good location by the sea. Good restaurant, very nice Beach Bar to cool off after a day at the beach. Excellent showers always with hot water (I have never frequented it in high season in which I do not set foot in any campground). Friendly staff, interesting bike rides in the immediate area.

"80% Italian permanent campers, family-friendly, child-friendly. - We stayed at Camping Ancora three times. We always had enough hot water for showering (gas water heater). As far as cleanliness is concerned, every year there is a different cleaning crew who clean to varying degrees. The visitors make the dirt. Some people should learn to behave at least like at home when they are away from home. From August onwards the locals arrive and it gets louder and more crowded. We liked this family CP, ideal for children. Each Lido has its own amusement park. In Porto Garibaldi, as well as Lidos, there are some good restaurants and ice cream cafes. A shopping center is very close by. There are also plenty of stores in the individual Lidos. The private beach is very clean and well frequented. Small children can wade relatively far into the shallow sea. As the entire hinterland is located by the sea, there is plenty of Italian fun to be had. On the beach there are African/Asian traders with their backpack stores. Don't always pay the first price, bargain a little. But they are just making a living and certainly won't get rich, so be fair.

" - The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired. Mostly the cleaning crew was seen talking and smoking, but not cleaning. On the day of our arrival, the cleaning was poor (only the floors but not the washbasins and sinks or shelves)...not after that and we were there for 6 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, the sea couldn't make up for it either (dirty+stale+foamy water and lots of garbage in and around the water). All in all you can say that for a 2 star place the 42,50EUR/day (2 adults, 2 children under 6 years & dog) are simply too much.

Profile

Our campground is located straight on the sea with private beach which is accessed directly from within the camp, without having to cross roads. Inside the Camping there is a bar, a restaurant / pizzeria, a well- stocked supermarket, a …new children's playground and our Beach Bar . From mid June to end August there is the animation and free baby club service for our guests . We offer to our guest 4 different possibilities of holiday stay : our comfortable apartments, the Mobile Homes "Elba" , " Giglio " and " Capraia " all with heating and air conditioning, our fully equipped Caravans for rent, and spacious pitches for your tents or caravan. Please note that the rent of the apartment, mobile homes and caravans should preferably be from Saturday to Saturday in high season. In low season you can also make short stays such as weekends ; please call us or e-mail us to check availability. Our Apartments are about 40 square meters and have two bedrooms ; a double standard room and a small room with two bunk beds, bathroom with shower and living room with kitchenette, refrigerator, television and a sofa bed two places. We also have 5 more apartments on two floors with spiral staircase, always large and spacious. Outside is a covered veranda with plastic table and chairs for your relax moments. All apartments are equipped with dishes, pots, blankets and pillows up to six people ; bed linen are not included but you may rent , towels excluded. The apartments have neither heating nor air conditioning. NB: In the apartments ARE pets welcome! The Mobile Homes " Elba , Giglio and Capria “ offer all the comforts of the apartments and have both heating and air conditioning. The ELBA model can accommodate up to 6 people. They have two separate bedrooms, one double and one with 3 single beds ( 3rd bed for maximum 70 kg ) , bathroom with shower and a large living / dining room with kitchenette, television, table and sofa bed. Outside is a wood covered veranda with plastic table and chairs for your relax moments. Mobil homes “ ELBA “ are located in an area of the camp protected by natural dunes and very close to the sea which is about 100 meters. The mobile homes " GIGLIO " can accommodate up to 5 people and have two separate bedrooms, one double and one with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower and a large living / dining room with kitchenette, television, table and sofa bed. Outside is a wood covered veranda with plastic table and chairs for your relax moments. The mobile homes " GIGLIO" are placed on the natural dune named Montecarlo, direct sea view that is approximately 50 meters ! The new 2011 Mobile Homes " CAPRAIA" can accommodate up to 5 people and have two separate bedrooms, one double and one with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower and a large living / dining room with kitchenette, television, table and sofa bed. Outside is a wood covered veranda with plastic table and chairs for your relax moments. They are placed seafront,only 10 mt far from the water ! They are fully equipped with dishes, pillows and blankets for up to 5 people and in the daily price is included the beach service with 1 umbrella and 1 sun-bed on our private beach. Bed linen are not included but you may rent , towels excluded. NB. In Mobile Homes pets are NOT allowed. You can make a stay with half board or full board at our private restaurant. Our camping is especially for families with children ; that’s way from 01 June to 31 August all cars will be parked outside in our private parking , fenced and lighted, with key access control . Each apartment, mobile homes, caravans and pitches has a free parking space in our outside parking . Camping Ancora is located in the famous green valley of the Po Delta and is 300 meters from Lido Scacchi, 1.5 km. from Porto Garibaldi, 4 km from Comacchio, 30 km from Ravenna, 55 km from Mirabilandia, 60 km from Ferrara and 100 km from Venice.
