"Two wonderful weeks of vacation - After the most chaotic and stressful journey we have ever had and visiting several campsites, we finally arrived at this campsite. Everything turned out well from here. Absolutely lovely reception, very helpful, English is also spoken. We were allowed to look at everything first. It wasn't a difficult decision for us: we're staying here! We were shown to the tourist area and had a free choice of seats. Perfect! We were there in the low season and were the first to arrive. We wanted peace and quiet, so everything was great. There are lots of permanent campers. Very nice and charming. Quiet during the week, then one after the other arrives at the weekend. One evening we were invited to dinner (and drinks;-)) by a very nice family. But nobody is intrusive. Very nice. Sanitary facilities are not modern, but everything you need is there and is cleaned spotlessly every day (completely lathered and sprayed out with a hose. Funny, but effective)! There are washing machines, dryers, hair dryers, foot basins, normal toilets and these southern ones. The sanitary area is covered but virtually outdoors. The temperature in May is no longer too cold and somehow special. Perfectly located for excursions. Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Livorno, Volterra, San Gimmignano, Carrara, ChinqueTerre, all within easy reach. You can walk to the sea in 15 minutes. Sandy beach. There is a small store on site with the essentials, a bar and a restaurant. The swimming pool will be filled from June 1st. There isn't much for children, but we discovered a great playground and amusement park for children in the same street. There is a large supermarket (Coop) right next door. A forest borders directly on the other side. You can also rent mobile homes and newer wooden bungalows on the site. From what we saw from the outside, they made a good impression. There are plenty of drinking water points dotted around the site, as well as electricity points. There are also plenty of waste disposal points, which are emptied every day. Nothing stinks. There are as many sun and shade spots as you like. Beautiful trees, grass pitches, gravel paths. The entire site is firmly fenced in with a privacy screen, there is a barrier at night, video surveillance and security patrols. We felt safe at all times. Because we were there in the low season and because of our long stay, the owner was very accommodating with the price. We will definitely be back!
