Sorge in una zona ricca di itinerari paesaggistici storico-archeologici. Sono facilmente raggiungibili, anche con escursioni guidate: il Parco del Pollino, il Parco del Cilento, la Sila, le isole Eolie, la Valle dell'Argentino e la Valle del Lao. Inoltre, è possibile fare gite in mare a Scalea e nel Golfo di Policastro per vedere grotte e scogliere con fondali a vista.
