"Camping Roma Ventemiglia - Always enjoy going there. We are always in good hands there in good hands, quick access from and to the highway.

"Square close to the center, but too loud... - The site is practically 'in town' (in a somewhat dubious-looking area at first) and the center is about a 15-minute walk away. It is beautifully laid out, with flowers and trees and very well maintained. There are at least 50% permanent rental cabins, a small meadow for tents and the rest are pitches for camper vans on gravel. These are quite narrow, right next to each other, without much privacy protection etc. You feel more like you are on a better equipped pitch than on a campsite. The gates to the town are locked at night and you are given an access chip. A railroad line runs directly past the site (the trains run slowly but honk loudly!) and a busy road. Due to the acoustics in the narrow valley of Ventimiglia, this is a powerful background noise - not for the faint-hearted :-) The sanitary building is very 'basic standard', you will look in vain for toilet seats or even paper. The cleanliness was mediocre, not really dirty, but lots of cobwebs etc. You have to pay for hot water to wash up and this also applies to the showers. German is spoken at reception and the visitors are a completely mixed, international crowd. We used the site when we were passing through and it was OK for that; we couldn't imagine a longer stay due to the street noise. At €30 per night in the low season, we also think the site is too expensive.

"feedback - On the premises restaurant, prices low compared to those in the city. Nice staff, you can speak English. Secure campground, surveillance cameras, open 8am - 11pm then no entry/exit. No swimming pool :( Hot water extra charge and often warm by name.

"Extremely close to the city, ideal base - The square is located between the hist. Old Town and modern shopping center. Only a few minutes' walk to the train and bus; ideal base for public transport excursions to the Italian and French coastal towns. coastal towns.
