"Absolutely ok - We were able to use the paddle boats at the pedal boat rental, where they were very nice to us. However, the forebay is boring for paddling and we couldn't go to the main lake due to the water level. There is also a bakery near the campsite (Heimathafen Grote). It's a quick bike ride to the lidos, which also have restaurants

"Beautiful campsite - This campsite is located directly on the shore of Lake Sorpe. The beautiful air adventure trail (3.4 km long circular hiking trail) also starts right here. This is perfect for children. The campsite itself is right next to a restaurant and pedal boat hire. A small supermarket, a swimming pool and a sauna are in the immediate vicinity. The groundsman is also very friendly and offers a good service,

"Wonderful! - As I mentioned above, we were completely satisfied. We had a beautiful view of the lake, nice neighbors and friendly operators. The breakfast buffet and the other dishes were excellent. Both in terms of quantity and quality. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. To my knowledge, they were also open around the clock. There was a small store on the site where you could buy the essentials. There were also small trolleys available so that you didn't have to lug the gas bottles around when changing. Various leisure activities were very easy to pursue here. I really enjoyed the pedal boat ride, for example. The walking paths around the reservoir are also well maintained and offer an interesting change of pace. I would say there is something for everyone. Families with children and/or dogs should also get their money's worth here. All in all, we were very satisfied and would happily return there again.

"Loveless Dirty facility/ Only designed for one-time visitors - This pitch is by far the worst I have ever had to experience. The new area created in 2017 for short-term campers is a joke: - Uneven gravel pitches - Water and electricity only for an extra charge with a coin slot - Dirty and broken toilets - No soap, no paper.... simply nothing! -8-minute shower with coin slot. -Attention early risers or evening showerers: after 4 minutes the light goes out and you have to walk naked through the shower house to activate the motion detector. - Horrendous prices (approx. 30€ for 2 adults + dog) -Unfavorably noisy location of the short-term pitches (right next to the main road to the dam, and surrounded by heavily frequented parking lots)

"Very pleasant! - We stayed at this campsite for 3 nights over Whitsun 2015. At first I had reservations as the pitch was on a large meadow with gravel paths. However, these were completely unfounded! There is plenty of space available! There are plenty of electricity connections, but you have to get fresh water from the tap. We had a great view of the lake and the dam. However, you should take care of rock pegs beforehand, otherwise you will have a problem! The sanitary facilities are relatively new and were always clean. You have to bring your own toilet paper. You have to buy tokens for showering and washing up. The time for washing up could be a bit more generous!

Profile

The camping site takes place in the prefrontal part of the Sorpesee. The shipping pier is only a few meter away. Although we have lots of activities for our little guests. There is a playground in the middle of trees …straight at the Sorpesee. Our camping site is prefered used by families. Moreover there is a new way around the prefrontal part of the Sorpesee, it is called the "Airlebnisweg". If you would like any further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
