"Intermediate stop - Again this year on rough roads, we were happy to have found a quiet parking space on this site, including evening cooling in the Matt. Easy to reach on foot (5 minutes directly behind the petrol station in the direction of Burrel), you can eat delicious food and make direct contact with the locals

"Small campsite around a small church - Very nice little campsite around a small church. It is run by Italian nuns and has very clean sanitary facilities. Ideal if you are traveling through, there is no other campsite inland, very friendly people🙂WLAN is also available

" - Nice little campsite. Lura National Park is not far away. The rear part of the campsite is a little sloping. There are shady spots everywhere. Sanitary facilities are very basic but clean. The campsite owner is very keen to make things as pleasant as possible for visitors.

" - This is a really nice campground in the middle of Albania. The place is around a curch with a great view at the mountains. Here you have a great Basecamp if you like to travel up to the Lura lakes (over 1600m) by motorcycle, 4x4 or just going hiking. The owner is very friendly an helps where he can. A few meters away is a gas-station and a bar. The river is good for cool down on a hot summerday (better than a pool).

In Albania, lungo la sponda del fiume Mat, nel villaggio di Suç (a pochi chilometri dalla città di Burrel), si trova la Chiesa Cattolica di S. Nicola. Il fiume Mat, che attraversa il centro-est dell’Albania andando a formare il lago …di Ulez (grande bacino idroelettrico), è il fiume che dà il nome all’ampia vallata che conduce in Macedonia, verso l’est dei Balcani. La strada che si snoda lungo il fiume, recentemente sistemata, porta alla frontiera macedone in poco più di un’ora dalla Chiesa. E’ una strada di attraversamento turistico per chi si dirige verso l’oriente. Anche se secondaria, è la strada più breve per raggiungere Turchia e Palestina per chi viene dall’Europa. La regione si presta molto all’agroturismo e al turismo responsabile, sia per le sue bellezze naturali (fiume, lago e montagne), sia per l’ambiente non troppo trasformato dalla modernità e, infine, anche perchè i prezzi dei ristoranti e dei negozi sono ancora molto bassi. I paesaggi e l’ambiente socio-culturale sono in grado di offrire delle buone opportunità per passare giornate rilassanti e gradevoli. Nel cortile della chiesa cattolica di Suç, si offre ospitalità ai turisti in transito, a quelli che cercano un posto tranquillo e sicuro per la notte e che, magari, vogliono fermarsi alcuni giorni in zona per godere delle bellezze naturali, ma anche per conoscere gli usi e i costumi della popolazione dei villaggi di montagna.
