"Overall okay - Everything rather old, but clean. Electricity/water directly at the pitch. Basically a meadow. We were free to choose our pitch. And no other rules either. But what is not at all possible is the disposal of the chemical toilet in the same room as the ladies' toilet (the odor is unbearable) Great as a starting point for hiking or cycling. Otherwise there's really nothing going on on the site. And not suitable for young people due to the lack of internet.

"Campsite in a beautiful location - Very friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, good and inexpensive gastronomy, no permanent camper police on the site, a visit to the city and castle Wernigerode, as well as train ride to the Brocken recommended, we will definitely come back

"Beautiful 11 days - This campsite surprised me in comparison to other tourist strongholds. Campers who don't just see their caravan or similar as a 3* hotel substitute are in the right place here. On arrival, you are given brief instructions on how the pitches are designed. You say your name and you can drive onto the pitch. No ID, no questions, no stress. Nobody needs a barrier here either. When I left, my two children who had arrived later were knowingly not charged and the campsite's own restaurant also offers tasty, home-made food at very reasonable prices. The combination of campsite and hotel, where my parents spent 3 nights, is a great concept, which is particularly suitable for families or groups where not everyone wants to or can camp. On the site itself, electricity, water and satellite reception are fine, but cell phone and internet are less so. Toilets and washrooms are not up to date, but clean and in good order. Certainly a few small things could be solved better, but the price-performance ratio is unbeatable and is not only unparalleled in the Harz Mountains. The same applies to the restaurant and hotel. We would love to come back!!!

"Never again - We didn't even stay one night! The previous comments, no matter how old, are still valid. The sanitary facilities are reminiscent of NVA barracks.

"Pure nature - The operators are friendly. Reception was never manned but registration in the restaurant. Sanitary facilities are in need of renovation.
