"Beautiful place getting on in years - All in all ok for a night or two, but I can't imagine a vacation here.

"small, cozy, unfortunately old sanitary - The site is beautifully laid out, sufficiently large pitches. Very nice operator, friendly and fun. It's a pleasure to go there. We were there for 2 nights on our way to the Baltic Sea. It is located directly on the highway, easily accessible. A Penny market within walking distance, which is important for motorhome drivers, for example. A longer vacation would not be for me there due to the outdated sanitary facilities, some of which are really unkempt. Unfortunately, the campers often don't leave the sanitary facilities as clean as they found them. Which I think is a shame. But what I found very good, really very very good, is that they were like small bathrooms. Shower, WC and washbasin in one room. However, shower tokens could be abolished and simply a few euros more added to the price per person. Shower tokens are impractical, but help to save water....

"A nice place for a surprise when passing through! - Suitable for a short stay, one or two nights, for onward travel to the actual vacation destination. For a longer stay, you should perhaps consider other places that offer a more extensive service program and services, such as a mini market, boat rental, bicycle rental, fishing licenses, etc..

"CP on the Havel Canal good for Berlin/Potsdam visit and stopover - Pitches are ok, the sanitary facilities are getting on in years and not always completely clean. New operator since 2018 plans to tackle this soon. Operator nice and helpful, but the restaurant on the pitch is not necessarily recommendable. The advertised "home-baked cake" turned out to be frozen goods. Very dog-friendly site.

"Deterioration after change of ownership - The former Zeestow-Havelkanal campsite changed hands on January 1, 2018 and is now called Camping am Havelkanal. I've been stopping off at the campsite for two days for years before driving on to my destination. You would think that a change of ownership would improve/change a few things. When I got there, I was proved wrong. Not everything was always in order with the previous operator, including the sanitary facilities. But what I've seen now is beyond words. How can you run a site down like this in just three quarters of a year? The sanitary facilities are in such a poor condition and so contaminated with germs that I'm surprised that the sanitary facilities haven't been closed by the responsible supervisory authority. The whole place is very unkempt, every now and then you see a pile of dog excrement. I also didn't see any signs saying that dogs must be kept on a lead. I'm sure this place is very popular with dog owners. I would not recommend the site for families with children. It is not recommended for campers who expect a certain standard. For my part, I will be looking for another site for my stopover. The friendliness also leaves a lot to be desired.

"New boss, super nice - We used the place as a base camp for a sightseeing tour. Everything was very nice. Even though the highway was easy to hear, it was nice and quiet. Café very cheap and good. Very good value for money

Das naturbelassene Gelände ist ganzjährig geöffnet und bietet einen naturnahen Urlaub mit der Möglichkeit zu verschiedensten Ausflügen in die Umgebung. In der Nähe kann man den Havelland-Radweg befahren oder …auf Schusters Rappen die wald- und wasserreiche Landschaft erkunden. Reiten und Wasserwandern sind Alternativen für die sportlicheren Urlauber. Berlin, Potsdam und die Glienicker Brücke sind nicht weit entfernt. Kinder können sich auf dem Campingplatz eigenen Spielplatz oder im nahen Wald austoben. Bei längeren Aufenthalten besteht die Möglichkeit, Wäsche vor Ort zu waschen. Die Gaststätte mit Biergarten bietet Speisen und Getränke ganzjährig an.
