"Very nice operator - Always very happy to return. Directly on the lake with the possibility of walking, swimming, hiking etc.

"Rather for permanent campers - Actually a nice place, unfortunately only limited bread roll service. The restaurant is also closed. Some of the permanent camping pitches (approx. 50%) look like material stores and are run down. Sanitary facilities clean and slightly outdated. A second cable drum is sometimes required for electricity. It's a pity that permanent campers park at the exits and become aggressive when you ask them to clear the way.

"Beautiful place - We were on this site in May. Very nice place with a great view of the Edersee. Except for one pitch where large bushes block the view. Despite discussion with the groundsman, we were allocated this pitch. No SAT reception. But the groundsman had a long TV cable. Great. After 2 days we drove somewhere else.

"Highly recommended - We love going there, everyone is friendly. The sanitary facilities are clean...we like it...the food and the service in the restaurant are also great...there is a playground, you can also swim...everything is great.

"Super view ... - Good morning, first of all ... the site has a great view of the Edersee! The food at the adjoining restaurant is also to be recommended. It's a great thing that a bread roll trolley drives up in the morning (also delicious and at reasonable prices), as it's not possible to just go and get a bread roll. The nearest shop is about 11 km away. As the roads around the Edersee are relatively busy, this can take a while. As we arrived at Whitsun, the campsite was naturally very busy. Nevertheless, the sanitary facilities were generally always clean and well maintained. Despite the large number of guests, there was also a very harmonious atmosphere (despite the volume level of some people). Unfortunately, we couldn't say the same about the operator. No question, he was friendly and nice. Nevertheless, totally overwhelmed and therefore very irritable. Cycling in the area is possible. It should just be clear that it is a bit "hilly". The dam with attached water park can be reached quite quickly by car. Walks / hikes (with or without dog) are possible directly from the campsite. Conclusion: small cozy place that is relatively far away from everything. So if you are looking for peace and quiet, you should find it here (if it's not Pentecost ;-)). In my opinion, the price should be reconsidered, but is still bearable. The view is definitely worth it! Greetings Thom
