"nice area/place but very profit-oriented - There are too many rules and regulations that are posted everywhere. You get the impression that the aim is simply to maximize profits by reducing the amount of staff required. I also think the rule that no electric heating plates should be used is excessive. The guests pay for the electricity connection depending on the pitch. The sanitary facilities are clean and friendly at first glance. But if you take a closer look, you will see that the showers and the joints between the tiles are in urgent need of renewal. The hygiene/cleaning is probably more superficial than hygienically clean. The size of the showers is also no longer in keeping with the times. They are very narrow and so you inevitably come into contact with the unhygienic walls when getting dressed/undressed or drying off. The water jet/water volume when showering is more like a spray mist or the amount that comes out of the on-board shower of the motorhome/caravan. The women's toilets are also very cramped, so please dear women do yoga beforehand or go to wash house 2. Wifi is not available on the entire site. The more expensive lakeside pitches in particular have no reception, but surveillance cameras have been installed in the trees for this area. The "restaurant", which is actually just a kiosk serving food, is not always open and the prices are clearly too expensive compared to real restaurants in Cheb with service and comfort. There is a lounge with a terrace by the playground. You can use the tables and benches here, but you can't eat or drink anything. So not allowed for hikers or cyclists with tents who need something like this. We got on well with the receptionist, although it was noticeable that she ran a tight ship. Conclusion: A visually beautiful and quiet place. But you inevitably get the feeling that you are not a guest here but an economic factor.

Profile

CAMPSITE ACCOMMODATION: www.holidayvaclav.cz CAMPSITE RESTAURANT: www.restaurantvaclav.cz About 5 km south - east to Cheb near Podhrad in the nature area of Jesenice lake (surface 740 hectare, 12 km) is the campsite Václav since 1992 located. Sandstone shore and lake's bottom …are safe for children as well. Due great waterquality there are several possibilities of watersports - such as swimming, sailing, surfing, rowing and of course fishing. The Jesenice dam was built in 1957, nearby campsite was an old bridge over the river which was flooded. The bridge remained up today. It is interesting memorial, which is visited by many people every year. The rusticity of the area around the lake invites to walk around - tours. World famous cities with healing springs like Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně and places of historical importance like Cheb, Loket, Ostroh, Kynžvart and the natural reserve of SOOS, Kladská are easily to reach by car or train (train station - 300m). In the campsite you can enjoy water trampolin with so called banana, you or your children won´t get bored :)
