"Unfortunately getting on in years. - Actually a fantastic site. Unfortunately, there are only a few places with electricity. Finding a shower with an intact shower head is not easy. Defects reported to reception were not rectified within 4 days. Too bad, the place offers so much potential.

"A very large space right by the sea - It actually has the potential to be a great site, but unfortunately it is getting on in years and has a large backlog of repairs. The many permanent campers don't exactly present a favorable picture either. The deserted part of the site resembles an enchanted parkland.

"Even in a tent is good - Suitable for a quiet holiday, semi-empty beaches. Beware of a pack of large strays whose territory is the stream that flows into the sea between the campsite and the town of Asprovalta.

"Asprovalta - Another campsite run by the municipality of Asprovaltas. Disastrous sanitary and electrical facilities. Mostly broken and always dirty. On some pitches the electrical cables run openly across the pitch to the fuse box. You can see that this is not an economically viable company but a communal site run by salary earners. Friendliness at zero. Only recommended as a pitch in an emergency. Too bad that such a place has such a beautiful sandy beach. This will probably be the only chance for this site otherwise no one would come.

"A little forgotten place. But has everything and much more ............... - I've known the course for almost 40 years. It is a state-owned course of enormous size. You could easily make 2 large pitches from it to put into private hands. Pitches are all large. Sufficient electricity connections and sanitary facilities available. Beautiful, huge sandy beach. Small supermarket with all the essentials available (summer time) Friendly staff Reasonable price. Nearby is the beautiful little town of Asprovalta with good restaurants and infrastructure. Not far away are the Athos monasteries and the district town of Kavala. This site only needs new renovated sanitary and electricity facilities and is then in a condition that can easily compete with top European sites. Nevertheless, I always enjoy staying here.

"Great camping - Perhaps the greenest campsite in Greece and the largest. It's a bit neglected, but the sanitary facilities have been renovated (mostly). The prices are very good. Very close to Bulgaria.
