"so la la - The place gives itself, or received 5 stars. They are definitely not. A good 3 maybe. Nevertheless, I spent one of my few vacation days there, where I can really speak of vacation, which was also due to the time. The French weren't on vacation yet, so the place was only half full, the beach was quite empty, as was the pool area including the restaurant. The waiters and entertainers had a lot of time and desire to give you a pleasant vacation and to offer the children a varied program. Not all the great things that were advertised, but good...Corona. If you go on vacation there, you should eat mussels and oysters. They can do that ... fresh and tasty. The beach is beautiful, wide and long. At low tide, small bays open up between the rocks, where you can lie a little more hidden and watch the French catching crabs. We also liked the town of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, which is definitely worth a visit. (A TIP for motorhomes) We had a pitch by the sea. The access was very narrow, so we had a few problems with parking. We wouldn't have succeeded with a larger caravan. Electricity, water and waste water were on site. But that brings us to the first or second problem. Our water connection was made blind. The service technician we were promised on the day of arrival...we saw him on the pitch from time to time, but never at the water connection. The service staff at reception were unfriendly and unwilling to accommodate a German who spoke French at school. Although one employee turned out to speak perfect German. Corona-related emails were not answered, we were not sold stamps and ... well, the little things. Oh well...thank goodness for Corona, because washing your hands after using the toilet is not an option. Due to Corona, however, there were dispensers near the toilets...A foot shower could also be abused. Well....
