"Camping in nature and right by the sea - The Bremontier campsite is unbeatable due to its location. We were on the site with our caravan and had pitch 77 on the eastern edge of the site. The pitches are very easy to reach with a caravan. The site is flat without any inclines. In some places the pitch is a bit narrow because of the trees, but with help you can get through anywhere, even with larger caravans. We observed several guests with their caravans. The site is located almost directly by the sea in the middle of a nature reserve. It is bordered to the east and north by the pine forest of the nature reserve. To the west and south, the site borders on a French police vacation complex. Events can sometimes take place there, but during our stay they were very limited in volume and never lasted longer than 11.30 pm. We could not understand the unrest mentioned in other reviews and we were on the site during the main tourist season in August. Perhaps this was a temporary phenomenon. The campsite is divided by the road into a north and a south part. The reception is on the larger southern part. There are tents on the northern part, which are apparently used by a surf school. There could be a little more disturbance here. The campsite is used by a mixed crowd (mainly French, German and Dutch). Many are on the site with tents and children. Dogs can also be found. The sanitary buildings are a bit outdated and could do with a refurbishment, but they are still acceptable and were generally clean. Unfortunately, the capacity of the buildings is a little too small, so there were bottlenecks when showering at peak times. However, the hot water supply was always available despite the capacity. The site is apparently run by a family. Everyone was super friendly and always approachable. English was no problem at all. Sometimes it was even possible to communicate in German. The path to the beach was 700m and led past two restaurants over the dunes. We would come back again.

"A beautiful place with compromises - First of all - the campsite is family-run and very committed. The location is really beautiful and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable compared to the other pitches that are so close to the dune, the location is public, i.e. the Grand Crohot beach access is also very well frequented by locals and buses, food is available from stalls directly on the pitch and on the beach access - but - you also have to make compromises. We were on the right-hand side of the campsite, which is also used by the surf schools, and we were informed of this in advance - which was fine for us, as we got a nice, albeit shady, spot at the beginning of August with just two weeks' notice. Depending on which group of surfers (mainly French) is there, it is also busy. We had both a quiet one that was in a good mood during the day but could really only be heard discreetly from 10pm onwards, as well as one that let it rip non-stop and only partied during the day. But the much bigger problem was the sanitary facilities - they were permanently overloaded and at peak times when everyone was showering, washing out neoprene and flushing - nothing was drained anywhere and came back accordingly. All our efforts didn't help, you can use the sanitary facilities on the other part of the campsite, but it's next to a large vacation complex for members of the French police or similar, so it's no better there at peak times. Otherwise, the access to the beach is really very convenient, planked up and down the dune and leads sideways past the very busy parking lot so that it hardly bothers you. A very simple campsite that certainly offers great advantages for little money in the low season, but is borderline in the high season.
