"Shady pitches in Le Castella - On our tour through Apulia and Calabria, we stopped at Isola di Capo Rizzuto for two nights due to a storm warning. First of all - the storm wasn't that bad, the gusts of around 80 km/h did rush through the tall, brilliantly shady trees at the campsite, but it wasn't a danger. Don't be misled by the access road to the campsite - the neighboring campsite is marked first and you'll end up there if you turn off a road too early. Costa Splendente sul mare is a somewhat outdated site, but the operators (who only speak Italian) are very helpful and friendly, the sanitary facilities are well maintained, the numerous garbage bins throughout the site are emptied daily, and the waste separation in the containers by the sanitary building is also good. The pitches are allocated to you and are big enough even for our camper van with a length of almost 7m. Every pitch has an electricity connection and 2 - 4 pitches always have a water connection. The restaurant was already closed during our stay. You have to be reasonably good on foot to get to the beautiful beach (mixed gravel and rock), which is about 40 meters down a steep, narrow road. The village (supermarket) is about 15 minutes on foot, and the picturesque Castella castle is another 20 minutes away. There are small stores and restaurants along the way.

" - It is located near the village 2 steps from the town and is on the sea. Toilets always very clean. Recommended, ideal for campers.

Il Villaggio Camping COSTA SPLENDENTE sorge in una località panoramica di spettacolare valore paesaggistico ed ambientale presso Le Castella di Isola Capo Rizzuto. Illuminato dal caldo sole sul versante Jonico della Calabria, tra Crotone e Catanzaro, vi augura delle buone …ferie in un ambiente familiare. Immerso in una natura selvaggia ed incontaminata, si estende su una superficie di 30.000 metri quadrati di terreno pianeggiante, particolarmente ombreggiato da eucaliptus e pini, con ampie piazzole dotate di elettricità ed acqua potabile. Offre possibilità di riposo e di svago, per una vacanza con ritorno alla natura, in moderni e confortevoli bungalow ed appartamenti in muratura . Per i camperisti, all'interno della struttura, è stata aperta una moderna area di sosta con piazzole dotate di attacco luce ed una stazione camper service per scarico e carico acque. Nell' area attrezzata è possibile usufruire di tutti i servizi interni della struttura ricettiva. Il mare dista 50 metri, le spiagge appaiono dorate ed incantevoli; il caldo sole mediterraneo le fa risplendere conferendo alla costa tonalità cangianti. Lo stesso litorale è mutevole giacchè, freneticamente ora è spiaggia ed ora è scogliera, mentre il mare cristallino mostra i suoi preziosi fondali e le sue inestimabili ricchezze. Il centro abitato Le Castella dista 400 metri, grazie alla sua posizione periferica è possibile raggiungere il borgo facendo una piacevole passeggiata. Posizione ideale per camperisti.
