"Nice shady camping - I immediately felt so good that I really wanted to stop here again on my return journey. The fact that the place is still so busy in September speaks for itself! One downside: the helicopter rescue flights from the neighboring hospital.

"Close to the city - It is 200 meters to the city and yet quiet. There are no restaurants, but the town has them. WIFI in the campsite. Cleanliness is good

"Ideally located for visiting Le-Puy-en-Velay on foot - Small campsite with an estimated 60 pitches at the foot of the town. Even at the end of September, when most campsites have already closed, the site is still half full. The pitches are good sized, on grass and there is a free choice of pitches. Many large trees provide plenty of shade. WLAN is available free of charge at reception. Despite the nearby road, the traffic noise is low in the evening. However, the site is in the direct vicinity of the town's hospital. Temporary disruption from ambulances and rescue helicopters must be accepted. Unisex toilets without glasses and paper, free showers. According to comments from the site operator, see "roland-1, from June 2014", the sanitary facilities were supposedly completely renovated in April 2015. At the end of September, only the front wash house was open. Nothing had been renovated there. The facilities are old and in poor condition. Bread can be pre-ordered at reception.

"Base camp - Great location right next to the holy city, not large , shaded. Co-educational toilets.Internet at the reception. For a tent , car and 2 people we paid 11,75 euros.

"Campsite close to the city - The site is very close to the city center, so it's not exactly quiet. The pitches are mainly in the shade. The sanitary facilities urgently need to be renovated. There is not enough opportunity to eat.

In the heart of Puy-en-Velay! Our campsite is located in the heart of the Puy-en-Velay, at the foot of the famous rocks where the statue of the Virgin and the cloister dominate. The campers enjoy a calm and green setting …on a surface of 1.5 hectares. Our 72 spacious and shaded pitches are also suitable for campers. On site: regional products, souvenir gifts, relaxation room with TV and space for walkers. Nearby: several great hiking trails and many monuments to visit!
