"Great place - It was our first time there! We liked it very much! The children were allowed to feed the goats and chickens twice a day, ride the ponies from time to time and there were lots of opportunities to play.

Profile

Camping “De Kasteelse Bossen is een kleine camping met tevens appartemeneten verhuur. Gelegen aan een bos in Melderslo-Horst a/d Maas in Noord-Limburg. Uitgeroepen door Capitol tot 1 van de 300 mooiste campings van Nederland. In de KCK van december 2005 …opgenomen in de route door Noord Limburg als een van de drie mooie campings om te overnachten. Is een luxe camping die geschikt is voor rustzoekers, de senioren of jonge gezinnen. Het goed onderhouden toiletgebouw bevat een dames en heren gedeelte, met 6 toiletten, 4 douches waarvan een gezinsdouche, 4 wascabines, chemisch toilet en een afwasgelegenheid. Ook zijn er een wasmachine, centrifuge, strijkbenodigdheden, magnetron, koelkast en een kinderbadje aanwezig. De plaatsen zijn allemaal 9 meter breed en minimaal 100m² groot, voorzien van 6 ampère en kabel tv. Op de gehele camping is er draadloos internet (Hotspot). Door de verdeling over vier velden kunnen wij het iedereen naar de zin maken. In de meivakantie en het hoofdseizoen is er doordeweeks een recreatieteam voor de kinderen (tot ±10 jaar) aanwezig. Er zijn ook o.a. 5 Bergskelters 2 driewiel Bergfietsjes een trampoline, speelbrug, glijbaan, schommel, tuimelrek, zandbak, een dierenweide en een leuke recreatieruimte waar ze kunnen spelen, kleuren en of tv kijken. In het naastgelegen bos ligt een mooi gratis strandbad en visvijver. In het Peel en Maas gebied zijn prachtige wandel en fietsroutes, waarvan er enkele langs de camping komen. In de nabijheid bevinden zich diverse attracties die zeker een bezoekje waard zijn. Langs de Maasoevers vindt u pittoreske dorpjes met mooie oude dorpskernen zoals bijvoorbeeld in Lottum, Broekhuizen(-vorst) en Grubbenvorst. In de Mariapeel liggen diverse veendorpen zoals het nabij gelegen Griendtsveen en Helenaveen. In de maanden mei en juni ziet u overal asperges, ook wel “het witte goud” genoemd. Een lekkernij die u zeker bij de maaltijd niet mag missen. Ook de welbekende champignons zijn het hele jaar door te vinden in Horst en omgeving. In de zomermaanden staat Horst en zijn omliggende dorpjes bekend om de gezellige terrasjes, sfeervolle cafés en restaurants, waar u kunt genieten van een kopje koffie met de welbekende overheerlijke Limburgse vlaai. Wat denkt u van lekker fietsen in het zonnetje tussen de prachtig gekleurde en zeer uitgestrekte rozenvelden. Het is in de omgeving allemaal mogelijk. Heeft u geen tent of caravan geen nood. Twee luxe, compleet ingerichte stacaravans, toercaravan, twee trekkershutten en 3 appartementen staan voor u klaar. Indien u met het openbaar vervoer komt, dan kunnen wij u eventueel van station Horst-Sevenum ophalen.

Weg blijven volgen door het bos tot aan het eerste huis, rechts na het bos.
