"directly by the sea - Site located directly by the sea with long promenade (cafés, restaurants etc.) Bus stop to Dunkirque directly at the campsite, free bus. Walk along the sea at about 1.30 pm. The site itself has many mobile homes, a swimming pool and restaurant. The access roads to the pitches are sometimes too narrow, especially for caravans. Sanitary older but clean.

"Almost too good a place to spend the night on the ferry - Used as an overnight stop before the crossing to England. As you can leave at any time and it's less than half an hour from the ferry terminal, it's ideal. However, we were really surprised by the direct access to the beach (gate with code), which is really great despite being so close to the town (with industrial harbors etc.). It's great to stroll along the promenade towards the town. In this respect, the site is almost too good just to stay overnight. The site itself is nicely laid out, nice grass pitches, some a bit wavy. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately very carelessly maintained - the laudable approach to social integration by the cleaning staff should at least be monitored more closely. There is a small café and a store on site where we were able to buy a fresh baguette at 5pm on a Sunday. We would come back again.

"Dog excrement on the campsite - Unfortunately, the tent pitch assigned to me was uneven and full of dog excrement. There was no paper and no toilet seats in the toilets. For the café au lait I had to pay 2,- instead of 1,30 as advertised. Even the great beach is of no use.

"French charm - Large square. Large pitches. No shady spots. Small petting zoo for children. Restaurant on site. Friendly staff. Beach/sea is accessible through a door with a code (obtained on registration). Sanitary poorly signposted.

"Camping with direct access to the sea - Beautifully located in the Malo-les-Baines suburb of Dunkirk. Large, parceled-out pitches separated by hedges. However, many pitches have a steep slope, which we couldn't even level out with wedges. We needed our extension cable in addition to our 25 m reel for the power connection. There is direct access to the beach. A bus to Dunkirk leaves directly from the campsite (free at weekends). The beach promenade is easy to reach and is also ideal for cycling tours. Bread and croissants are available daily in the campsite bar. The sanitary facilities were clean, but not heated. As is often the case in France, there were no toilet seats and no paper in the toilet. Somewhat annoying, but widespread, are the taps, which only supply water under pressure, but then sometimes run on for a very long time.

"Quiet place for a short vacation - The site is easy to find and the welcome is friendly. The site is attractively designed, but the access roads to the pitches are quite narrow. A mover would be helpful when fully occupied. The path to the wide and long sandy beach is short. There is also an enclosure with animals for small children. The restaurant is small, but thanks to the friendly service and reasonable prices, it's a good place to eat after arrival. The town is within walking distance.
