- Stefan S.August 2017AdvantagesFriendliness of the operatorsNegativesNoisy by the road and railroad tracks, sanitary facilitiesDisappointed by good ratingsArriving late is no problem, just park the Auro, carry your things in and set up. This was also no problem for the really friendly operators. Coffee and bread are also available at reception. Unfortunately, there is a road on one side, which was noisy even very late, and train tracks on the other. However,... I didn't notice the train at night, only during the day. The road was constantly present, although it is a less important road. The nearest towns of Lutzelbourg and Arzviller are barely accessible on foot, but the boat lift on the Rhine-Marne Canal is. The sanitary facilities were also not convincing: they are very basic, no soap, no toilet paper and were only moderately clean. The shower has very little storage space and only one water temperature.Automatically translated.
- Petra H.April 2017AdvantagesPerhaps the direct cycle path and the boat lift in the immediate vicinityNegativesRoad and railroad lineArrived and left againWe actually wanted to stay at the campsite for 2-3 nights. The lady at reception was really very friendly. However, the place was too noisy for us. You could hear the adjacent road and the train line. The site also left us with a rather disorganized impression. We later found out that the adjacent restaurant is supposed to be really great. It was just too loud for us.Automatically translated.
- Kim H.July 2016AdvantagesClose to the boat lift. The pitch is very cheap 13.7 euros for one person + mobile home + electricity. You will be shown to your pitch by the fatterNegativesNone of themIf you want to see a boat lift, stay overnight hereGood people on site. Sanitation is ok and located in the middle. You can hear French radio when you are in the toilet. It's a 5 - 10 minute walk along the canal to the elevator. There is a swimming pool and just opposite is a restaurant of the slightly finer kind. You get sweets on arrival. There is a little road noise during the day, but otherwise nothingAutomatically translated.
- Sigi S.May 2016AdvantagesVery clean sanitary facilities and very friendly site operators, very nice location.NegativesRailroad line and road next to the pitch.Very beautifully situated campsiteThe site is located directly on the Marne-Rhine Canal, which has cycle and pedestrian paths on both sides and offers excellent opportunities for cyclists. The sanitary facilities are simple but extremely clean. The owner couple are very friendly and always ready to help. Very informal atmosphere throughout... the site. Unfortunately, the train and road that pass right by the campsite are a nuisance during the day. At night, however, it is largely quiet. We will be back.Automatically translated.
- Pascal S.September 2015Advantagesgreat operator couple is always concerned about the guests, sufficiently large pitches also for WW over 7mNegativesshady in fallCamping with classLovingly and passionately run campsite in a beautiful setting. Hiking in the surrounding woods or along the canal, cycling along the canal, boat lift in the immediate vicinity, old lock stairs are also an experience and much more. Visit the campsite, it's worth itAutomatically translated.
- Serge S.August 2015Advantagesright on the water for mountain biking swimming pool but not heatedNegativesCamping between the road and the train. The tgv passes in slow motion every hour, but this is not really annoying.Friendly welcome Canal-side campsiteFriendly campsite by the canal, ideal for mountain biking to Saverne along the canal. Visit of the inclined plane on foot possible.Automatically translated.
- Thomas H.August 2015Advantages- Very clean. - Breakfast service. - Very good restaurant nearby.Negatives- Traffic noise possible.Directly on the canalLocated next to the boat lift in Arzviller. There is a great restaurant in front of the campsite. The campsite is situated between a road, the canal and railroad tracks. Traffic noise is therefore possible.Automatically translated.
- Stephen B.June 2015Advantagesgenerous pitches, friendly owners, great for cyclingVery friendly and very very cleanBefore we left for our Weekend in the Alsace, I mailed the campsite asking if there was any room. Within hours I had a reply saying that we can come.... The first thing we noticed was the friendlines of the owners. We were made welcome from the start. We were shown which pitches we could choose from... and even had a helping hand navigating through the site with our 2,50m wide caravan. The pitches themselves are generous and provide shade in the summer and also protect from those summer showers that can occur. The Sanitary facilities ( Toilets and showers ) were spotlessly clean. (I have not been to many sites that have been that clean !!) You can order your fresh bread on the site ( till 18:00 h ) and on Saturday mornings the butcher comes with his van to the reception. All in all a site that We will visit again and are looking foreward to doing it already. Thankyou Laurent and Christa for a great Weekend in France
- E.J. B.September 2014AdvantagesLocation on the Marne/Rhine Canal. Hiking, biking, boating.NegativesTraffic noiseSuperb location on canal between railroad and highway. The wonderful location on the Marne/Rhine canal, the great opportunities for hiking and biking, the very generous pitches and the exceptionally nice campground managers make you gladly take the decibels of railroad traffic and on weekends of motorcyclists.Automatically translated.
