"Relax in the midst of unspoiled nature! - A wonderful place in the middle of nature, away from the stress of everyday life. A paradise for alpine hikers and experienced bikers! We find the campsite extremely friendly. Friendly reception, modern and clean sanitary facilities that are cleaned more than daily, additional toilet blocks on the campsite, fire pit at every pitch. The baker comes every morning. Restaurants within walking distance. Important! If you have a larger camper, you should have a good grip on your vehicle and be able to assess the dimensions well. The last 25 min drive leads through a narrow mountain road, where crossing with larger vehicles is sometimes only possible by backing up several hundred meters. However, the 3.2m height of our alcove Womo was no problem. For less experienced drivers, caravans or those who have a rental camper, for example, we recommend driving up the route behind the post bus.

"Natural square - The journey can be quite adventurous for wider vehicles due to the narrow road in places. The campsite offers a suitable spot for every taste. Whether in the forest, directly by the stream or on the huge meadow. Some of the power points are quite far apart. For your physical well-being, the baker's van is open briefly every morning. Bread, honey, butter, cheese, sausage and eggs etc. are provided. The nearest restaurants can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. Anyone looking for peace and relaxation is in good hands here. We will recommend the campsite to others.

"Idyllic place at the end of the world - Wonderful place in the middle of the mountains. We were able to choose our own pitch. Very friendly staff. Showers and toilets are cleaned several times a day.

"Still a beautiful campsite - It is still a wonderful campsite. Relaxing and really in the middle of nature. Everything else has already been described. The new building for the sanitary facilities has been completed on the outside. The lower floor of the main building is currently being remodeled. Something is being done for the benefit of the guests. Hot water for showers 1 Fr./4min. (but at this altitude and a bit out of the way.....)- We enjoyed our time here.

"Natural, idyllic - Natural, functional, simple campsite. Uncomplicated staff. We were able to choose our own pitch. Lawn pitch with sun or in the forest (alcoves). The sanitary facilities are functional. Hot water shower CHF 1.-/4 min. Washing up only cold water. Fresh bread, yoghurt, butter and baked goods are available daily from the Beckmobil. The restaurant is a 10 minute walk away.

"Where camping is still camping - Wonderfully situated site in the beautiful and unspoilt Binntal valley. Partly shady and alcove-like pitches in a beautiful mixed forest, partly on open meadows. Sanitary facilities spread over several buildings. We can't complain about the cleanliness at all. The site staff clean regularly and well, but if a toilet bowl is dirty, it's down to the campers themselves! The relative simplicity of the site is reflected in the guests. Rarely have we felt so comfortable on a campsite. The campers here are still real campers, friendly and helpful. If you're looking for luxury and a hustle and bustle, this is not the place for you. Luxury here is the impressive nature, the magnificent mountains, the rushing torrent, the great hiking and biking routes, the annually changing art exhibition in the Twingi gorge, the great geological trail, the mineral mine, the delicious food in the nearby Bärgkristall restaurant. We are extremely happy here. We'd love to come again, so we're already booking for next year!

Access and transport Travel with public transportation: The train ride from Bern to Brig takes only one hour and four minutes, thanks to the new Loetschberg tunnel. The Matterhorn-Gotthard train brings you from Brig to Fiesch. From there you can …the the Postauto that goes via Ernen and Ausserbinn to Binn. In summer it also goes to the campground (Giessen, Camping) and Imfeld. All train and bus schedules can be found at: www.sbb.ch In summer (mid-June through mid-October) the «Bus alpin» bus service has two extra routes which are ideal for hiking in the region. Travel with private auto: Via A12 and Autoverlad in Loetschberg, or the A9 from western Switzerland. In summer the Furka, Grimsel, and Nufenen passes can all be used. The road to Ernen and Binn departs from the main road between Lax and Fiesch.
