"Clean and generously laid out - The site is very well maintained and is located on a slope on a larger area. The pitches are sufficiently dimensioned and terraced from the site you have direct access to the Ruhr. At the chip van in front of the reception you can have good conversations and eat a delicious French fries currywurst as is usual in the Ruhr area.

"We had hoped for more from the space - The campsite is located on a "mountain" so it is not completely straight everywhere. Depending on where you stand, you need a very long cable on the motorhome pitch. The friendliness leaves a lot to be desired, you get the feeling that you are being a nuisance. The toilets at the motorhome site are modern and clean. The restaurant at the site is a "chip shop" that lives from the cyclists who are on the Ruhr Valley cycle path. Overall, there is still plenty of room for the site to develop.

"Highly recommended as a place to stay overnight - Access very narrow with possible oncoming traffic. The site is dominated by permanent campers. Turf pitches for tourists have extreme slopes. Don't forget to bring underlay blocks. Fresh rolls to order in advance. Friendly ladies in the small store. The grumpy gentleman at reception seems to go to the cellar to laugh... New sanitary building is top in every respect. The old sani building exudes the charm of the 70s. The adjoining natural beer garden is to be recommended.

"Very nice place quiet and yet close to Dortmund - Very friendly staff at the reception. Space ok, sanitary bright, friendly and clean. The men's toilets a bit small (opening the door to the outside would be better?). The small kitchen with seating for tent campers is very nice. There is a natural beer garden right next to the site on the Ruhr. You have to go there! We cycled to Dortmund City, exhausting but doable. A few more garbage cans to dispose of dog bags, for example, would be nice.

"Beautiful place directly on the Ruhr - We 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 11) spent 2 nights here. We can't say much about the place as we were only here to stay overnight. We received a very warm welcome. The new sanitary building at the lower part of the site near the small children's playground is TOP and very clean. The disadvantage of the upper part is that it is more difficult to get there in the dark as the path is hardly illuminated. The approach to the campsite is very narrow for the last kilometer. Fortunately, no one came to meet us on arrival and departure. There is a store where you can order bread rolls and get something to eat and drink. The pitches are sloping, so wheel chocks are required. The Ruhr can be reached in a few minutes and invites you to take beautiful walks. You are also within 20 minutes in the city center of Dortmund (Thiergalerie) You can hear the highway and the planes fly over you. This did not bother us much.

"Good place on the edge of the Ruhrpott - Visited friends in Dortmund. Stayed 2 nights. Very friendly welcome. Free choice of seat. Terrace pitch selected. Sufficiently large pitches. To the power box about 20 meters. Water in the sanitary building. 1 older + 1 newer sanitary building. Both very clean. Playground not really good for the little ones. For older children, however, quite well equipped and quite large. Nice and quiet location. Dog owners receive a key for the lower door and can then take a wonderful walk along the Ruhr. All in all, highly recommended.
