"Unsustainable state of hygiene - The campsite's water is brownish in color and is taken from a small pond at the campsite. All waste water and faeces are collected in an underground tank, which is located right next to the pond. At the time of our stay, the tank was full to the brim and overflowing. We noticed this because we were supposed to dispose of our toilet contents in this tank. I can only shake my head at this. Especially as the campsite restaurant is only about 100 m away and of course has clean water. Otherwise, the site is quiet and beautifully situated by the lake and the restaurant is also recommendable. If only it weren't for the sewage situation.

"Pure tranquillity - Were the only ones on the campsite at the beginning of May, could choose a pitch, sanitary facilities in a hut, so far okay, only the water was pumped from the adjacent moor lake, which was slightly brownish, you don't shower there. Drinking water in the associated restaurant (200 m), food in the restaurant good and cheap, nice service

"Beautiful location by the lake - Picturesquely and quietly situated on a small hill by Lake Alūksne near a restaurant with vacation homes. Spacious meadow area with freely selectable pitches. Electricity connections of the usual standard. There is a small sanitary building with 3 WCs, 1 shower and 3 washbasins outside. Everything is clean and there is also hot water. No V/E. No washing up facilities. Restaurant/reception was closed due to midsummer night festival (24.6.17) 2 young lads who probably belong to the site were very helpful. Pitch with electricity 15 €

"Beautiful facility, - and very spacious. Very friendly English-speaking staff in the restaurant, which is also the reception. The site makes a very well-kept impression. The sanitary facilities for the camping area are clean, but I don't think that OSB panels screwed together and painted black are suitable as shower screens. This needs to be improved in the near future. Water is only available at the dishwashers in the one sanitary building in the camping area. A hose connection and a disposal station are missing or I didn't see them due to the spaciousness. The restaurant is great, I've never eaten so well at a campsite. If the sanitary facilities are improved in the future, I would highly recommend this site.
