Profile

Kamperen op een landgoed, aan de rand van een natuurgebied. Camping Jena is een landgoed kampeerterrein van cirka 6 hectare. Een gedeelte van de camping is ingericht als natuurkampeerterrein. Het terrein is gelegen in en aan de rand van de …uitgestrekte bos- en natuurgebieden van landgoed Enghuizen. De camping wordt gekenmerkt door ruime standplaatsen met elektra aansluiting, veel groen, goede sanitaire voorzieningen en een gemoedelijke sfeer. Speciaal voor de jeugd is er een apart gelegen sport-/speelveld van 1,5 hectare. Ook zijn er speeltoestellen, een tafeltennistafel en een fietscrossbaan. In de zomermaanden worden er voor de kinderen diverse activiteiten georganiseerd. Op het terrein staat een sanitairgebouw met extra wasruimte voor baby's en mindervaliden. Ook een wasmachine en droger zijn aanwezig. Honden zijn in overleg toegestaan mits aangelijnd. Het invriezen van koelelementen is mogelijk, tevens het verkrijgen van campinggas en diverse dagbladen. De camping is gelegen in de gemeente Bronckhorst, de grootste plattelandsgemeente van Nederland. Wie van wandelen of fietsen houdt kan zijn hart ophalen in de cultuurhistorische Achterhoek. De Kruisbergse bossen en het coullissenlandschap van de Achterhoek lenen zich uitstekend voor rustige wandelingen of fietstochten. Voor wie van echt Achterhoekse gezelligheid houdt, is een bezoek aan de nabij gelegen winkelstad Doetinchem een aanrader, vooral op de marktdagen dinsdag en zaterdag of op één van de vele terrasjes in de binnenstad genieten van de gemoedelijke sfeer behoren tot de mogelijkheden. In de omgeving treft u ook vele bezienswaardigeheden als kastelen, musea en natuurgebieden aan. Ook maneges, een verwarmd zwembad en vis- en watersportmogelijkheden in de Ijssel en Oude Ijssel zijn nabij gelegen. Tot ver in de omtrek herinneren de rood-gele wapenkleuren op de luiken van de boerderijen eraan dat ze tot het landgoed behoorden. Het landgoed ligt op de grens van de Liemers en de Achterhoek, nabij Hummelo. Dit overgangsgebied wordt gekenmerkt door de rivierloop van de Oude Ijssel aan de westzijde en de zandgronden aan de oostzijde.
