"Idyllic location and total peace and quiet - This really is a fantastically situated site with total peace and quiet, despite its size. Large pitches with lots of space around them (except right by the water), grass almost everywhere. Lots of campers, hardly any motorhomes - access is also quite narrow. Nice, small bistro with a manageable but daily changing range of food. Sometimes live music at the weekend (in the afternoon). Bread roll service. Children play in the Semois, a great place to cool off, too shallow for swimming. Lots of anglers and fly fishermen. Lots of hiking and mountain biking opportunities directly from the campsite. Great little villages in the area. But what really bothered us were the campfires every evening. Everyone could borrow a fire bowl and make a campfire. There were easily over 20 campfires every evening. In the evening, the atmosphere was worse than during rush hour in Brussels. Why would you do that? The sanitary conditions were also terrible. Showers and toilets were always clean. BUT there were 3 washbasins with mirrors for men and 4 for women. Otherwise you had to do your personal hygiene at the sinks in public, if there was water available, which was often not the case at peak times in the morning and evening, or there was only a trickle. Queuing for showers and toilets is OK at rock festivals, but not on vacation. There were also only 9 showers in total, on a really large campsite. Incidentally, there were mostly young people and young families on the site. We paid €30 per night for 2 people with a caravan including everything.
