"Still room for improvement - The pitches are nice, but some places look unkempt. As the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired, I only give it 2 out of 5 points. Other pitches in this price range have more to offer

"Attention info for dog owners - I actually wanted to book a camping pitch at this campsite. BUT: when I spoke to the campsite on the phone, I found out that dogs are not allowed in the lake. Dogs are also not allowed to run around the lake on the paths. This means that the whole area around the lake is off-limits for dog owners with their dogs. You are also not allowed to sit on the meadow by the lake with your dog. According to the campsite staff, this rule is from the town. I am speechless. Oh yes, the dog costs €5 at the campsite. A real shame. That's why we didn't even arrive (date of stay is fictitious).

"Nice quiet place - great area - We had a wonderful time. The area is wonderful. The place is currently being renovated in every nook and cranny. But that didn't bother us. You can tell that a lot is being done here to make guests happy.

"Exemplary managed campsite - We only spent one night in the complex, but immediately felt like old friends. The location and layout of the site left nothing to be wishes unfulfilled. The direct access to the lake is very valuable. The fact that the site is currently being made fit for the future is highly commendable. We were not disturbed by the construction work, as it was carried out very considerately. We can look forward to the sanitary building that is currently under construction. When it is finished, it will overshadow everything we know.

"Pitch Camping Wellnester: Location top - price-performance flop! - Bottom line: A completely overpriced 41 EUR for one night on an unkempt gravel pitch without proper supply and disposal and without luxuries such as fresh water. The pitch is also really narrow - not separated from the next pitch by any greenery or the like. So, when fully occupied, it is hardly possible for the Womo people to sit outside comfortably, barbecue, chat, awning out is not feasible (but also not necessary given the proximity to the next one). There are no restaurants on site, but there is a brewery and the restaurant of the Seehotel within walking distance in the direction of Losheim. The place definitely has potential, but a possible service in the future due to probable renovations definitely does not justify this price at the moment and I have not yet experienced it in this form. If the whole thing is laid out differently, the pitches a bit wider, maybe a green strip between the Womos and if the rest fits - we would pay it. The few people who were on the site at the time (everything else was fully booked...) would certainly not come back for the reasons mentioned above. At the moment we really don't recommend it as a pitch for a camper van, if you want a pitch (costs a bit more, but spacious, grassy ground, surrounded by bushes, I like it so much), the new tiny houses are supposed to be really nice and the little "Swedish village" is just cute.

Profile

2021 haben wir den traditionsreichen Campingplatz in Losheim am See als neue Betreiber übernommen. Seitdem sind wir mit Volldampf dabei, die vorher von Dauercamping geprägte 10-Hektar-Anlage in ein modernes Camp zu verwandeln, zum Anlaufpunkt für Naturfans, Familien und Aktiv-Urlauber. Dafür …bietet unsere Lage mitten im Naturpark-Saar-Hunsrück eigentlich alles: Direkt nebenan liegt der See zum Baden, Segeln, StandUp-Paddeln, man fällt praktisch hinein – muss auf dem Weg zum Wasser nur den über Saar-Hunsrück-Steig, der immer wieder unter die besten Wanderwege Deutschlands gewählt wird. Zig Abzweige (passender Weise „Traumschleifen“ genannt) bietet der Steig dafür in direkter Nachbarschaft zum Platz. Unmittelbar hinter dem Gelände beginnen die weiten Wälder des Hunsrück mit ungezählten Hiking-Routen und Biking-Tracks. Stiefel an oder rauf aufs Bike und los! Wir sind dazu aber auch perfekter Ausgangspunkt für ungezählte Ausflüge: Von uns aus sind es gerade 25 Minuten zur Saarschleife, eine halbe Stunde nach Trier oder zum Welterbe Völklinger Hütte. In 45 Minuten seid Ihr beim gewaltigen, fast zweieinhalb Tausend Jahre alten Keltenring von Otzenhausen, knapp eine Stunde ist es nach Luxemburg oder ins französische Metz. 90 Minuten fahrt Ihr bis zu Deutschlands längster Hängeseilbrücke Geierlay, und zur Weltkulturerbe-Stadt Nancy braucht Ihr 1:45. Langweilig wird einem also nie bei uns. Zur Sommer-Saison 2022 konnten wir die Zahl der touristischen Stellplätze schon auf mehr als 400 erhöhen, während wir weiter 150 Plätze für Dauercamping anbieten. Ab dem Sommer sind bei uns die ersten 10 von insgesamt 30 geplanten Tiny Houses zu mieten, und unser großes Glamping Camp, das wir zusammen mit dem Spezialisten Domo Camp betreiben, läuft schon die zweite Saison. Gemeinsam mit der Gemeinde Losheim gestalten wir den Platz bis 2024 komplett um. Eigentlich machen wir Schritt für Schritt alles neu: Das Hauptgebäude und sämtliche Sanitärhäuser werden außerhalb der Saison saniert oder neu errichtet werden, die Infrastruktur wird überholt, schließlich kommen noch eine Sauna und ein Seminarhaus dazu. Wir sind auf dem Weg!
