"Campsite with direct access to the beach - The 2-star Municipal l`Orgatte campsite is close to the beach and has 3 private access points to the beach, which is 400 meters away. We had looked at various campsites in the area and immediately noticed that the pitches were larger in comparison. The sanitary facilities are also generously sized. There was never a "traffic jam" at the showers or toilets. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day. On the negative side, it was unfortunately noticeable that the main path of the campsite is not tarred but finely gravelled. The pitches on the right-hand side of the main path are therefore quite dusty when vehicles drive past.

"great, well-kept place by the sea - beautifully situated place under pine trees, the sea directly accessible through a small forest and dunes, shopping facilities nearby...what more could you want

"Campsite as it should be in France! - Because Noirmoutier was a real mess and everything was full, we ended up here - luckily!!! Reception with a little English was no problem and very nice, beautifully situated pitch under pine trees about 400m from the sea, a pitch for every taste, sanitary facilities completely OK, nice atmosphere, cycle paths right outside the door. I wouldn't go back to Il Noirmoutier at any time (it's tabula rasa even in the low season), but would explore the area from here, it's much more relaxed.

"Beautifully situated CP in the old style - We stayed on this pitch in August 2018. The reception was very friendly, the pitches are big enough and partly shady. The whole site is a bit uneven and unsurfaced, so sandy. Thank goodness we had a mover. The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but clean. (This is unavoidable on a sandy pitch). You can reach the Atlantic Ocean with its beautiful beach in three minutes through a pine forest. There is a playground for children and apparently also an entertainment tent. Initially there was also a bread roll service in the nearby snack bar, but unfortunately it closed down. The nearest bakery is about five minutes' walk away. There are extra pitches with picnic tables for campers. There are GsD no mobile homes on the site, so there are actually only campers there. We didn't really like the village, it was actually just a tourist village with one street where there was "something" going on. The rest seems to be mainly vacation apartments. The place is cheap. We only paid 25 in the HS for three people with a caravan and electricity. The only downside (for our daughter) was the very expensive WLAN. But we would go there again at any time.

" - We chose this campground for some quiet beach time in a smaller town like Notre Dame de Monts and were very happy with our choice. The site is a pleasant 400 meter stroll through the woods from a fantastic beach. Thus, we could go to the beach for an hour or two and then come back for a drink or a break. The individual pitches are mostly shaded under mature trees. Many French families apparently come here and stay for longer periods year after year. I see why this place fills up during the French school breaks. We really liked the town too. It was small enough not to be overwhelming yet had a supermarket, fish store, wine shop, and the typical beachfront restaurants and ice cream places. All of this is within walking and/or biking distance from the campground. The campground lies right on a bike path, so you never really have to move your car. The tourist office organizes events, so we saw a little kite festival and a local vocal group in concert. It was all very relaxed. This campground is a great value. We paid something like 35 Euros per night for 4 adults and 1 child with electricity. Showers are free and hot. From what we saw, this was the closest campground to the beach. We enjoyed the laid-back nature of this place. It is not on the standard tourist list, and we loved that. We will definitely go back. If I had to criticize the campground for anything, I would say that it would be nice if the wifi had been functioning and if the bathrooms had been separated by gender. These were not fatal flaws, however.
