"Price-performance ratio is not right - The campsite stands out for its location by the lake. Gérardamer with its supermarkets is easy to reach by bike (mainly cycle path). This is the right place for those who love a night out. The pitch is very expensive. Animation costs... The sanitary facilities are unkempt. Cleaning once a day in high season is definitely not enough. Mixed showers for men and women are also not everyone's cup of tea. The disabled bathroom is accessible to everyone. Correspondingly dirty every day. So we definitely won't be back...

"Had a nice 7 days there - I largely agree with "Horst's" comment. The location of Longemer in the mountains is great (for day trips to Colmar, Route des vines, Hohneck, etc.). The lake directly on the other side of the road is great, but of course a bit busier on weekends in the high season. Gerardmer is "around the corner" by car (approx. 10 min) and offers shopping opportunities, a tourist information office, another lake (urban) and 2 supermarkets (Intermarche, Super U). There is plenty of space on the campsite itself (see comment by "Horst") - even in the last week of August there were still plenty of free pitches in the shade and sun. Top. Only the sanitary facilities scored a few minus points - as so often in France - I'm used to a lot from Corsica :-) There are 2 wash houses. The older one urgently needs to be renovated. The newer one has already arrived in the new millennium. Some of the toilets have the typical hole in the floor with a foot pedestal (3 out of 5 in the old building), otherwise ceramic without glasses. However, they are cleaned frequently (thoroughly once a day - my impression). Showers, washbasins etc. okay. Price - performance is very good at the campsite. And it was great that the dog was welcome :-)

Whether you are looking for visits, active and sporty holidays or, on the contrary quiet and rest: this is it! In the lake Valley, including lakes of Gérardmer, Longemer and Retournemer, you will find some leasures suiting everybody, summer or winter alike.
