"well located for a visit to Lüneburg - The big plus of the site is its location on the outskirts of Lüneburg. The campsite itself is rather functional.

"Overnight accommodation for sightseeing in Lüneburg - The site lives from its proximity to Lüneburg. Self check-in is between 11am and 3pm, reception is not manned. The manager is friendly, staff on a daily basis. The entrance and exit is single lane and is blocked by those registering or by the Womo disposal in the driveway. The site was mainly used by overnight guests with motorhomes. Our Our pitch was very uneven and generally in need of maintenance. Paths sometimes muddy after rain. Wifi free but poor Finally, a rat in the garbage said goodbye to us...

"Camping Rote Schleuse Lüneburg times in April / May - After getting to know the beautiful campsite in winter, we were drawn back to Lüneburg. Why wander far away when the good things are so close. We followed this saying and were not disappointed, on the contrary it was simply TOP. The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the stress in the restaurant on May 1st. We can rightly say that we came as strangers and left as friends. Sanitary facilities always clean. For data protection reasons, we are not allowed to mention any names of the staff. Otherwise all the staff would be listed here. It was great and you gave us a wonderful few days. THANK YOU !

"Nice campsite with good connections to Lüneburg - Were the first time on this beautiful little campsite and that to the Christmas market in Lüneburg. Campsite with its facilities simply TOP, although partly limited because of the winter season, no bread service, sometimes not all showers / toilets were open until it was full, then they reacted immediately and there were more showers / toilets available. But you can be satisfied with that, we have also had different experiences at other campsites. Sanitary very clean and the restaurant on site very good. The friendliness of the staff is second to none. Praise and recognition for the team. Bus connection at the site to Lüneburg, when it ran. But that's not the fault of the campsite operator.

Herzlich willkommen! Der Campingplatz Rote Schleuse wurde bereits 1955 in einem Waldgebiet vor den Toren Lüneburgs eröffnet. Im romantischen Ilmenautal gelegen, umfasst das Gelände eine große Wiese, die Caravan- und Wohnmobilegästen vor-behalten ist, sowie ein Areal mit lichtem Mischwald für …Zeltgäste. Die Lage und die familiäre Atmosphäre des Platzes trugen dazu bei, dass sich der Platz zu einem echten Geheimtipp entwickelte. Frei nach dem Motto arbeiten, wo andere Urlaub machen, verwirklichten wir 1997 unseren großen Traum und übernahmen die Rote Schleuse. Seitdem haben wir viel Neues geschaffen. Das historische Haupthaus bekam einen Wintergarten, ein biologischer Badeteich wurde angelegt, und wir haben ein neues Sanitärgebäude errichtet. Doch bei allem Neuen ist geblieben, was uns so wichtig ist: die familiäre Atmosphäre, die Überschaubarkeit und die schöne Lage. Wir freuen uns auf Ihren Besuch Familie Muckenhirn
