"Were only there 1 night - We were only at the campsite for 1 night, so can only describe our first impression. The site is quite nicely laid out, but probably a bit outdated, gives the impression of a party place to us, and the sanitary house, nicely done, even for the little ones, but all dark!!! The supermarket is well stocked. A walk into the town along the promenade along the English Channel is worthwhile.

"Comfortable space with clear weaknesses - Large 5-star campsite a few hundred meters from the sandy beach and the sea. Sufficiently close by bike to various World War II fortifications and the related museum in Caen (also accessible by bus). The campsite is very much geared towards family vacations by the sea. Well-equipped sanitary facilities, which were almost always very clean. The pitches were mostly under trees and of a sufficient size. In some places you have to pay a deposit to borrow a suitable tap to draw water. Small store, large pool, restaurant (with take-away service) etc. available. At the end of August there was always entertainment in the evenings, some of which was quite loud until shortly after 10pm. Our visit to the restaurant left the impression of mass processing. The staff and kitchen seemed quite overwhelmed, which ended for us with a salad on which the hot goat's cheese we had ordered had completely cooled down after a long wait. One consolation: after complaining at the counter, we were not charged for it.

"Overpriced course with strengths and too many weaknesses - We had booked this place mainly because of the swimming pool. Despite booking a specific entry time online, we had to queue for up to an hour in front of the pool before we were finally let into the water. The water itself was a bit too cold, so that our little one wanted to get out of the water unusually quickly. We will not visit this campsite again. All in all a very overpriced campsite.

"Perfect for a family vacation - Beautiful campsite located in the area of the D day beaches. Picthes for campers are under trees for shadow. Rental units are new and all have green areas and flowers around them. Activities for children and nice pool area.

"The Côte de Nacre campsite fulfills many campers' wishes - The Côte de Nacre campsite is very comfortable and well maintained. The very well-maintained gardens and the comfort of the pitches (water/waste water) are striking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The infrastructure of the campsite with its leisure facilities is very good. The site is a good starting point for discovering Normandy

Profile

For a real French beach holiday on the Normandy coast, the pleasant Sandaya Côte de Nacre campsite is the perfect place! The beach is within walking distance, there is a water park with slides and you can pamper yourself in …the spa. During the summer holidays, the enthusiastic entertainment team ensures fun for young and old. You will arrive at a lively square with more than 140 pitches and 340 mobile homes. The reception, swimming pool and restaurant are located at the beginning of the site. The campsite is located on well-maintained grounds with excellent facilities. The pitches are spacious and are located between high hedges, so you can sit in the shade here. During the school holidays, many families with children gather at this campsite. Equipped with a water park, playground, climbing wall, sports fields and bouncy castles, children will never get tired of playing here. And thanks to the Kids Club, Junior Club and Teen Club, they can easily meet other children their own age. There are also numerous activities for adults, such as aqua aerobics, fitness, yoga or entertainment evenings. Alternatively, you can spend an afternoon relaxing in the sauna or hammam. The outdoor pool is open from around mid-June to the end of August. And when we say outdoor pool, we mean a complete swimming paradise with slides, a wild water river, whirlpools and waterfalls. Ideal for summer water fun! The swimming pool is located directly behind the restaurant terrace, so all the cosy meeting places are close together. It is also possible to swim in the sea. The sandy beach can be reached in ten minutes on foot through the village.
