"Beautiful campsite on the Main - I have already described everything above, from the campsite to the excursion destinations. The campsite can really be recommended. Otherwise, you can find a detailed post with pictures on Facebook in the group Child-friendly campsites.

"Extended weekend - Stayed there over the weekend. Very nice central location. Nice connection to cycle paths to Würzburg etc. - Supermarkets nearby, so you can get everything you need! Would come again!

"Very nice campsite - A very nice campsite situated on the Main, very friendly welcome from the two very nice ladies at reception. Very nice, large, well-kept pitches. The sanitary facilities are great and always clean. Wifi works perfectly. The restaurant next door is okay. The food wasn't bad, but could have been a bit nicer. The bread rolls that can be picked up there in the morning are a bit overpriced (1.00 € for a normal wheat roll). In the Edeka nearby (about 300 m) is the bakery Brothaus, very great selection of rolls, bread and other things, but the way is worth it. We can definitely recommend the place.

"Great place - The sanitary facilities are really unique. I was really impressed. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was really legendary :-) Above all, always super clean. Nice little place and above all the lady at reception was still waiting for me after 7pm and was super nice. I would come here again at any time.

"Beautiful place in a beautiful location - We were only on the site for an overnight stay. The site is located directly on the Main and is very clean and well-kept. We received a very friendly welcome and had a spacious pitch with a gravel surface. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but renovated and very clean. The restaurant at the campsite has a lovely outdoor terrace where you can sit comfortably in the evening. The public swimming pool (outdoor and indoor pool with sauna) is right next to the campsite, but we didn't use it.

Profile

In der kleinen Stadt Kitzingen rund 20 Minuten östlich von Würzburg liegt der Campingplatz "Schiefer Turm" direkt am Ufer des Mains. Er wird von den Eigentümern, Familie Hartmann, betrieben. Bei uns sind die meisten Sachen inklusive wie z.B. Strom, Duschen, …W-Lan, Müllentsorgung, Ver- und Entsorgung sowie der Eintritt ins Aqua-Sole Hallenbad für Stunden pro Person und Übernachtung. Alle Stellplätze sind mit Stromanschluss ausgestattet und befinden sich auf einer lichten Wiese mit vereinzelten Laubbäumen. Einige Camper können sich über Plätze mit direktem Blick aufs Wasser freuen. Über eine kleine Anlage haben Bootsfreunde die Möglichkeit, Kanus, Kajaks und Motorboote ins Wasser lassen, um direkt vom Platz aus über den Main zu schippern. In einer kleinen Gaststätte auf dem Campinggelände wird für das leibliche Wohl der Urlauber gesorgt. Darüber hinaus ist Kitzingen bekannt für seine Frankenweine, der älteste Weinkeller Deutschland befindet sich hier und ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Auch das Fasnachtsmuseum zieht viele Besucher in die Kitzinger Innenstadt. Unternehmungslustige Urlauber finden in dem Campingplatz "Schiefer Turm" einen perfekten Ausgangspunkt für schöne Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren entlang des Mains vor. Eine an der Rezeption erhältliche Fahrradkarte weist über 90 Kilometer Radwege in der näheren Umgebung aus. Nur einen Katzensprung vom Campinggelände entfernt gibt es außerdem ein Hallenbad mit Saunalandschaft. Der Eintritt ins Hallenbad ist für 2 Stunden pro Perso und Übernachtung kostenlos. Weiterhin erhalten unsere Übernachtungsgäste ermäßigten Eintritt in die 5Sterne Premium Sauna für 4 Stunden zum Preis von 10,- € (statt 16,- €) und ins Freibad Mondseeinsel.
